While We Wait

The first couple of days after the Mittenflosses moved out, Wylla was a little bored and mopey. The door was closed to the kitten room because I was doing the post-kitten deep clean, and she spent a lot of time waiting right there. She would give me a little trill when I came near, and I would remind her again and again that the boys were gone. I think she understands now and is finding ways to keep herself entertained.

We've been spending as much time out on the deck as we can and have been enjoying what's left of this year's lovely weather.  It's been dry and sunny, so I've been taking my computer outside to work while the girls perch on the railing and watch the falling leaves and bustling squirrels, or nap on the warm wood.  It won't be too much time before things start getting cooler and wetter, so are savoring these days.

We're not racing down to the shelter for more kittens quite yet. I'll be doing some traveling in early October, so we'll have to wait until I get back before we restock. Don't worry, it won't be too long of a wait, and Charlene and Wylla promise to keep us entertained while we are kitten-free!

  2. Charlene & Wylla can go outside without fear of them running away? If our boys were outside, they'd be gone in a flash chasing rabbits or squirrels.

  7. Enjoy your trip! Is Wylla going too?

In light of yesterday's post, how is Wylla doing for weight? I know it's an odd question to ask given her history but she's looking extra floofy lately.

  11. A question: does your deep-cleaning (post-kitten) use ultraviolet technology? I've been reading about it and thought of you folks.
