The BEST Belly Spots

DSC_0396

I've got someone else I would like you to meet - another tiny tabby girl!  She's the littlest one in the lot.

We've had a lot of kittens over the years and I've noticed personality patterns with certain colorings.  It always seems that the brown tabby girls  have such fierce determination, and from what I've seen of this wee kitten, I think she will fit this mold.

OH, and the belly spots.  JUST LOOK AT THOSE BELLY SPOTS!

There are few things in life better than a spotted kitten belly.

  1. I agree about the girl tabby cats. I had a dear one, full of spitfire and attitude. She was a stray I found and when I first took her to the vet, the vet said that the female brown tabby cats she saw were always the closest to "feral." She meant it in a loving way - that they're the ones who exemplify "cat" and harken back to their big cat ancestors more than some of the other breeds and colorings.

  3. I once read that the mackerel tabby was the original cat. I don't know if that is true, but she is just a classic beauty. She does have a lot of dots!

  4. I just almost passed out from cute overload!! Both of the tabby girls you have shown look just like my "Sweet Melissa" when she was little. She's still pretty small and sweet with more spots than stripes & a spotted belly :)

  6. Our own sweet Daltrey-girl is a mackerel tabby, and she is filled to the brim with that cat-itude - i.e. we are very familiar with this particular look on this little one's face!!! Do we have a little herd of tabbies??? *hopes* What a fantastic way to open up the FUNdraising!

  7. Such a face! LG is a brown mackerel tabby and also brimming with cattitude. His belleh is more stripey than spotty, though.

  13. Simply stunning. What I love most about this post though is your reference to "lot," which implies still more cute-ens. Excited to meet this whole family!

  14. I have a lot of appreciation for sassy brown tabby girls. Especially the tiny ones, who seem to make up for their size with their personality.

(Though my tiny tabby grew up to be just as big as her sister, her personality has remained oversized.)
