Meeting and Greeting

DSC_0103

Yesterday, I let Wylla come in an introduce herself to our little Clovers. The babies were a little a hissy at first when this giant beast darkened their doorway, but during Wylla's second visit, they were brave and bumped noses with her.

By visit three, everything was awesome and they played together and even shared toys.  I do have to remind Wylla on occasion that she is giant and they are tiny, and that the kittens must be handled with gentle paws.

Even though quarantine is up, I think I'll wait a bit before I let them roam around the main floor. They're pretty tiny still and seem completely happy in their quarters.  We'll give them a few more days in the kitten house, and then we'll spring them.

Wylla and Charlene are welcome to visit them anytime we are.

So you're probably wondering who was who in Friday's post.
From top to bottom: Ramona, Myron and Trixie!  Congrats to all who guessed correct!

  1. I cannot believe how big Wylla looks compared to the babies! That Myron is a tough cookie already! He's so brave to protect himself and his sisters from Giant Wylla! Too cute!

  2. Clovers if you think Wylla is big just wait until you meet Charlene. The pictures really drive home how much wee Wylla has grown since being a kitten. I'm glad everything went well.

  4. That is adorable- Wylla seems to be perfectly happy- in fact, by the last few frames, she seems to be delighted! And she looks so healthy- her eyes just sparkle. Whew.

  5. Love the idea that wee Wylla is now a giant beast! Gives perspective to both how much she has grown and how teeny the Clovers still are.

  6. I snorted at your description of Wylla as a "giant beast," but I suppose it's all relative, isn't it?

Don't worry, ladies. I'll protect you. Um, hi, giant beast. What's up?

  11. I love that Wylla's health is so good that she is a giant! And that she is exchanging nose-bumps with the teeny Clovers!

  12. There's so much cute in this post that I hardly know where to start. So we'll start with teensy-weensy Mr. Ferocious, who is all bark, no bite.

  13. I will never not be amused by itty bitties acting Big And Scary in response to something that's totally harmless (added hilarity if what they're trying to scare off is totally unfazed). Wylla being called "giant" emphasizes just how "itty bitty" the Clovers are. I'm glad the intro went well, but it doesn't surprise me everything went smoothly and they're all friends now. Seeing Wylla's paw come up from below the table near the end of the vid totally cracked me up.
