Meet Squinchy

Good Morning! I have someone I would like you to meet.

His name is Squinchy, and he's a sweet little guy who's currently in the care of my dear friend Sue. He's been with her since he was just a tiny fellow, and though I've never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, I've heard all about him, and he certainly does sound fabulous. No surprise there,  Sue  ALWAYS raises great kittens.

Though he's one of those extra-special kittens,  it's taking him a little while to find his forever home, so I wanted you to meet him. Maybe you need Squinchy in your life? Or maybe you know another kind-hearted soul who might?

Here's a little bit about the lad:

Squinchy is a special boy who has an extraordinary amount of love to offer, but who will need care throughout his life.

The gorgeous boy is nearly blind, due to a viral upper respiratory infection as a young kitten. This virus will remain with him his entire life, possibly flaring up in the form of a runny nose or watery eyes during times of stress. His lower eyelids also roll inward, causing irritation. The condition could resolve itself, but if not, he may need corrective surgery as an adult.

All this may sound daunting, but only time will tell how much care he will need. The loving owner who adopts this sweetheart will be amply rewarded with a lifetime of affection. He is extremely friendly, loves to cuddle, plays well with other cats, is perfect with the litter box, and is a real charmer.

If you're in the Seattle/Tacoma area, and think Squinchy just might be the cat for you, please send an email to Sue, and introduce yourself.  If you're not in the market for a kitten, maybe you could help spread the word by sharing a link to this post.

Thank you! Let's help Squinchy find his people!

  4. Glad to know Sue is still fostering. If I was on the West Coast....I'd come by and meet him. But New England is a bit far away.

    1. I miss reading Sue's Pitter Pats blog too, but I know spending time working on the internet can eat up time needed for snuggling kitties and other important things.
I hope this kitten finds his home and that all of Ms. Sue's adults are doing well. - a reader in tx.

  5. I urge anyone in the SeaTac area who wants a superb cat to consider Squinchy. I never met him, but I had a cat just like him for ten wonderful (but too short) years. My cat was really no more work than an ordinary cat. Blind cats are very intrepid, probably because they can't see how scary things look to sighted cats. They think of the funniest things to do. They love most of the things sighted cats love such as sitting near windows in the warm weather to listen and to sniff, lying on or near warm spots (fireplaces, heating vents) and in sunshine, chasing - - and catching - - bugs (and lizards, if you live in the right climate) and wrestling with other cats. If I lived nearby, Squinchy would have a home with me. I love blind cats!

  10. Oh Squinchy, you are a beautiful baby!

All of my furry family members are special needs, and they have always been worth every single penny I've ever spent on their care. They are full of love, and appreciate every little thing you do for them, even though they may not like it! (Just ask my 16 year old Atticus each time I give him his insulin shot!)

  14. Squinchy is super adorable! I have a houseful of cats, and I'm in Boston, but I would definitely consider a blind kitty. We had a one-eyed cat when we were growing up.
