Even the Little One is Getting Big!

Once we got past the sickly, diarrhea phase of kittenhood,  all the Von Tussles began growing at a pretty good clip.

Even tiny midge, who was once just a smidge, is over a pound and a half.  We're grateful they're all so healthy and doing well.

It's not time for surgery yet, but they're inching up on that and before the month is out, we'll be saying our goodbyes.

What do you mean "goodbye"?

I assumed we would all be here together, forever.  All 8 cats under one roof.

FOREVER.

Hey guys, did you know about this?  No?  It's news to me, too.

  1. I have never before seen a tiny tabby with a bicolor necklace. That is beyond adorable. This batch has something for everyone! But Malcolm- well, he is something else entirely- I laugh every time I go back and look at his face in the group picture. What a wonderful little tussle of tabbies.

    1. She's a torbie (tabby/tortie mix) so she's a tri-color kitty. So, that's why her necklace is a little more colorful.

  2. Is Midge the smallest? I had assumed it was Claudette.

    1. They're very close, but Midge weighs the least right now.

  4. Midge, think about the positives of a new home. Less trouble from all them siblings taking toys and food. More cuddles and laps. And only 1 sibling or so to share with!

  5. Soon they'll be wearing their gold medals and going to their new homes. I wonder how they'll be paired up. Don't worry, Midge, this will be the start of a wonderful life.

  6. Oh Midge, I know it's so soon but that is how IBKC works@ You have no way of knowing yet but your forever family is waiting and hoping for a sweet little girl just like you....and maybe another Von Tussle to grow up with.

The Universe is waiting to come through for the Von Tussles in a big way, I'm sure! Laurie just has a way with finding families....

  9. Boy if I had another room in our home I would take them all, we have a 3 bedroom home, our two cats share one room, it gets cold in the winter time..The other room is cozy and comfy! If only I had the time and money for all of em, but we don't..but I can look at your blog and dream can't I they look so sweet, esp. Midge, but I am charmed beyond belief over Miss Charlene Butterbean (The Queen) and Miss Wylla Stout...cutee pies forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Torbies are so pretty. How many have you had? Poor Midgy. You'll find somewhere nice for her, I'm sure.

  12. I can't say I blame Midge for not wanting to leave -- your place is pretty much Kitten Heaven, as I'm sure you're well aware! But for some reason I don't see you keeping six more cats. Especially ones as rambunctious as the Von Tussles!
