Our Little Old Lady

While we're on the subject of senior cats, I thought I would share a little collection of photos of Drewey, our senior girl who passed a few years back.

She lived a long and healthy life, and was vibrant until her last few days.  We're grateful she spent 17 of her 18 years with us! She was my very first cat, and she'll always hold a special spot in my heart.

  4. What a darling cat. I have always found the seniors to be so special. I have adopted 3 over the years from shelters and they were all so appreciative and loving. I miss them all so much now that they have passed on. Deb

  5. I recently cat-sat a senior lady for two weeks and she was such a love. Very self-sufficient, but when I came home at night she always had LOTS of things to tell me and was prepared to extract her snuggles by force if necessary. (Force was never necessary.) A nice older cat can be the best companion.

  9. I was doing a IBKC check before going to bed. Has anyone else noticed that Laurie's team has received ONE QUARTER of the goal in just 4 days? Am I doing my math correctly? at this rate, the IBKC community will just BLOW AWAY this year's goal!!!! Wow!

  10. She is a beauty. My great auntie who had many cats in 96 years of life told me with great certainty heaven was where you would get to give love to all the cats you had ever loved in your past again. I think she was on to something.

  12. I vote Drewey "Disapproving Cat of the Year".
How did she come by her name? We had Badfinger, 19 white toes and one black one dead center on the front...

    1. She came with the name Drewey. Later, I made her full name "Little Drewey Junebug".
