  1. How about the Queen B? That's right, right up there with Beyonce.

  3. Like my cats, she probably comes any time that there's food once she appears. I can stand in the kitchen and yell "Oil can!", OR "Your mother wears army boots!" (which of course means that I wear those boots....), but just because I'm in the kitchen and talking, all 3 of them will come..

    Good kitties. :)

  4. She's such a beauty! I like Anonymous's suggestion of Queen B--seems very fitting for this girl.

  5. Oh my word! All of my pets (2 cats and a dog) have a loooooong list of names. Most of the time they don't get called their "real" name. I sometimes wonder if they even know what it is.

  6. Try calling her Wylla. See what happens :P

  7. I love the list of nicknames. She's a very special girl. My boy has his list too and several of them have next to nothing to do with his actual name, yet he still seems to respond...but perhaps it's more the tone of my voice implying I might have a treat that helps with that! ;-)

  8. My cat's name is officially Robin Hood but I call him Fuzzy Buddy. Or Little One. or Little One Fuzzy Buddy.

  9. I know it's not an invitation, but I SO want to rub that belly!!

  10. Awww... I like Char-Char, because that was what I used to call my Charlotte.

  11. You're horrible to tease us with that belleh, Charlene! WHY won't you let us pet it?

My cats have a loooooong list of names. They rarely answer to any of them. XD

  12. Beanie Boo & Charlie B!!

  13. She's such a beauty! Charlene is not on the list!

  14. LOL, I thought my kitties were the only ones with a long list of nicknames!! One name can't capture all the loving they give us....

  15. His name was Load Dudley Dooright but he answered to NoodleRoni, Wuzzy Wuddems, Knucklehead and Duddy. Finn was really Finnegan Minnegan the Bad Monkey.

And I do like Queen B.

  16. I've just adopted a new kittie (calico, girl, one extra toe on each front paw, lion cut - which is growing out). I call her Little Big Foot. And Fuzzy Pants. But her real name is Daisy.

  17. Hmmm. Belly Bean. Oh I want to rub your belly now!

  18. I love this list. I'm glad I'm not alone in having such a long list of nicknames for my own kittens.

  19. Ms. Bean is absolutely gorgeous!

  20. Just don't call her late for dinner! LOL! My Ellie has her share of nickynames too. :)

  21. Our senior cat, Hyperion (all are named for moons of Saturn, since our first cat was Saturn) has titles as well as nicknames, which I often recite to him as a list (and sometimes bow, LOL): "Top Cat, Alpha Sweetie, Supreme Tugger, Ultimate Bugger, Prime Feline, Absolute Puss, Main Moggie, and Felinus Maximus, all this and more, 'cause he's the Hyper-Cat!" He loves it (especially the bow, LOL).

  22. PS-- excellent and beautiful observation WRT the naming of cats, Annie!

  23. Both my boys know their names and usually come when called. I have all kinds of cutie nicknames I call them, most are versions of their names.

But my Tiger boy has a very long nickname: Fluffernutter Tigy Poo Poo Mr. Man Mr. Man. He does NOT respond to that. Both of my boys are my Bunny Boys, soft as bunnies!

    Buddy and Tiger's Mom

  24. My kitty's nickname was InstantCat. You sat down, instant cat (on your lap of course).

  25. But Wylla calls her Charlene. Is she just being contrary?

  26. Hahha I almost never call our cat Puck by his name. Puckles, Puckapotamous, Puckverine, Puckadactyl, Puckasaurus (Rex), Puckzilla...and some things that rhyme with those that are not family friendly... but almost never just Puck.

  27. funny how the longer we have our pets the more names they receive with those names being very appropriate. Bean is a sweetheart no matter what name she responds to.

  28. Well, there you have it! The real test for Wylla.... when she knows all of Bean's aliases. Our cat, Cassis, answers to Cassis Norma, Cassiser Bobs, Bobs, Me Bobs and, hmmmm I would have to think of the others.... Sasha answers to Sasha, Sasha Azure, Shaasha and TROUBLE. And you can be sure Cassis looks when I say "here comes Trouble."

  29. Oh yes... I had a cat once whose name was Bridget but had 1001 nicknames! Some cats are just nickname-able! Breed, Bridgie, Beedge, Bid, Little Biddle, Biddy, Bidge...ok so not as many as Charlene has!

His Grace, the Duke of Savoy. Sir Charles.
