Wee Wylla, I will never forget the first moment I saw you. Sue was there, and she helped me load you and your siblings into the kitty carrier for our trip home from the shelter. We squealed with delight when we saw Audrey and Filbert - both Sue and I have a weakness for tiny tabbies - but when you came out of your cubby, we could not stop giggling at the sight of tiny, ridiculously adorable you. You made quite an impression from the start.
It's been remarkable watching you grow, change and step out into the world. You've had many struggles in your first year of life, but you're a determined girl, you pushed through those hard days, and even when you weren't feeling your best, you were still capable of showing love and trust.
All kitties are special things, but you, dear Wylla, are one of those extra-sparkly, one in a squillion kitties. How lucky we are that you landed in our lives.
Happy Birthday, Wylla! You are precious and dear. Each day with you is a gift.
We've got lots of birthday fun today, so please stay tuned! We're just getting started with this celebration!
PS The fabulous kitty tiara was crafted by the one and only Anne Boleyn.
