That's Not How it Works, Wylla.

You know what I like?  Boxes.

Cozy cardboard boxes to climb in and chew on.
I love the texture.  I love the taste.

I can sit in here for minutes on end.

The best thing about boxes - when you're inside one, you're completely invisible.

Wylla, I can totally see you.

No you can't, Bean.   I can't see you, so you can't see me.

  2. I love the line "I can sit in here for minutes on end." Hehehe - the short attention span of kittens and teenagers!

  7. Gosh, where COULD Wylla be? I do not see her anywhere! ;) Wise, dear Charlene, perhaps you can mount a search party.

  9. Wylla and Charlene make the perfect kitty siblings!

I know this is off-topic, but is everything OK with Sue from Pitterpats? I am hoping she's just too busy to blog, but she's been gone for a couple months now.

  10. LOL! Any cardboard box that comes into the house is an instant hit. Since I shop at Sam's Club, I always get a cardboard box from there for the little stuff. It comes home and gets emptied and tossed on the floor, and it serves as a feline distraction for the few minutes it takes to put everything away. It doesn't always give me the entire time I need, but it's usually good for 5-10 minutes.

  12. We should hook up Wylla and Maru.. :)

Almost any box that is shipped out of my house at Christmas time has cat toof marks on the flaps. Their way of sending a hi to everyone in the family. :)

  13. Boxes are the scratching posts here. The only time they bother anything else is when they're demanding attention (looking over their shoulders at us as they "scratch", LOL), and they stop when sternly told *No* (and never do it unless we're here). So it's just not a problem, and the only real challenge is trying to sound stern when we're laughing... Our eldest, the most ornery of the three, needed Mister Mister for his first 10 years, and had figured out by the time he was a year old just how far away from us he needed to be in order to still be able to beat the water when doing that antic, which was even funnier, seeing him run, not particularly fast and totally jovially, out from under the descending spritz. Cats are such a joy!

  15. Reminds me of my cat's habit of hiding her head in a corner when there are Scary Workmen about. :) Never might her furry butt sticking out!

  18. My cats love boxes too. I ordered a new suitcase that came last week and one cat was in the outer box almost as soon as I had the suitcase out of the inner box... got his butt in first y'all, so there. Now I know why they love boxes so much.
