Stepping Out With Wylla Stout: King's Books!

DSC_0121

Last week I suited up Wylla with her harness and leash and we headed out to visit our friends at King's Books.

Shop owner Sweet Pea knew we were coming, and pulled a few new, used, and vintage kitty-themed books for us to check out.

We liked this one so much, it came home with us.

Wylla put "How To Be a Cat"  on her on her wish list.  Sometimes she forgets she's a cat, and we both thought  Nikki McClure's book could come in handy.

"We don't need this one, do we?" says Wylla.

Of course not, Wylla.  Why would we?

Wylla did a little exploring and climbed a few shelves.

She perched on Sweet Pea's shoulder.

And introduced herself to shop cat Atticus, who wasn't too thrilled to meet her.

There was hissing.  From both parties.

"I'm sorry, there aren't any openings in the shop cat department.  Feel free to leave your resume, but I can't guarantee I won't pee on it."

That's OK, Atticus, we understand completely.  She's invaded your territory and you must defend it.

Miko was so busy with making sales, he barely even noticed her - his commissions are paid in bonito flakes and felt mice.

She did make friends with one cat.

Thanks for the hospitality, Kings' Books friends!  You have a lovely selection of kitties and kitty books. We'll be back again soon.

Now, where in the world will Wylla go next?

Wylla needs a little red and white striped T-shirt to go with her "Where in the World is Wylla" series of adventures.
