  1. Water play! So cute when they do that. Miss Flora used to check the water level in her bowl before drinking. Dip in a dainty paw, aha, then drink. Scritchies to them both, and of course Miss Bean.

    1. One of mine, Sydney, hits the side of the bowl with her paw before drinking to check the water level. It's adorable and weird. I'm glad she's not the only one to do it.

    2. I had a cat who would atempt to dig to the bottom of the filled bathtub, would get so frustrated that the water kept filling in his hole as fast as he could dig. He'd get wet to the shoulders...

  2. What great "action" shots with the beads of water! And that glass must be pretty heavy, because my cats would have already turned it over! ;)

  3. I know I am not politically correct, but, I'm just sorry that this fantastic kitten will never be able to pass on her smart-beautiful-clevery cat genes to another generation. She would make a such a great mother. So beautiful!

    1. I think a lot of us cat people have these arguments with ourselves. Sigh.

  4. My kitty's version of water play is to drop single pieces of kibble in his water dish and then fish them out and eat them. His version of "dunking." Love these girls :)

  5. I think they have an imaginary goldfish!

    1. Agreed!

And I think I'm going to try this with my own cats and a large bowl of water. What a fun idea!

  6. I have several water bowls around my house. I even have most faucets dripping. My purr gang is aged 14 to 3, so they love water their whole lives.

  7. So Miss Audrey loves playing with her food, does she? She is such a silly, sweet girl! And oh Miss Wylla! You just sit there and be gorgeous! They are both so adorable, I just can't take it! Thud!

  8. We've always called that water hockey, slap the water to make swell right over the bowl side. Truly exasperates my mom when kittens do that while visiting at her house.

  9. So, just how much water did Audrey splash out of the bowl? Love, love, love Wylla's profile!

  10. Everything is an adventure when you're just a wee kitten, isn't it? So cute!

What an adorable goofball Audrey is! I'm going to miss her antics.

Our two boys have always thought the water bowl was a finger bowl to wash their paws in (which has been so annoying) but when kittens as hilarious as Audrey play with their water it's awesome! ;-)

  13. Our cats enjoy playing with an ice cube in their water bowl. They smack it down, and then watch it bob back up to the surface.

Audrey and Wylla are both special little girls. Such different personalities and approaches to life... I wish them all the best and hope their permanent "parents" will keep updated on their adventures!

  15. It's like Goofus and Gallant with these two. Wylla drinks like a lady, Audrey doesn't. They are both so cute.

  16. There's just somethin' about kitties and water that makes me laugh!! You can just tell by the pics that Wylla is Miss Dainty and Audrey is Miss Devilment!!

  17. The Bisa does that - slapping the water. I find it to be the weirdest thing. She's nearly a year and she still does it. I have no idea why she does it. I kinda wish she wouldn't.. :)
