Back and Bathed

I was able to spring Wylla from Vet Treatment on Friday.  She was very happy to come home, and we're all glad to have her back - especially Audrey.

She was in dire need of a bath, so she took a quick dip in the bathroom sink and we got all the crusty bits off.

She was a very good kitten during the bath and most of the blow-dry, but with all that hair, it took awhile to get her completely dry, so she did get impatient and wiggly towards the end.

When we were done, I tucked her into her warm bed and she just sat their purring, then settled in and took a nice long nap.

You can tell she's feeling better, but we still have some medical issues to resolve.

  13. YAY Wylla's back! And look at how calm and not-crazypants Audrey is in care of her sister, lol. They are such sweet angels.

  14. Such good news, it's great to see that Wylla is back with Audrey (and you too Laurie). I'll keep praying for her continued improvement...what a little fighter that baby is :)!!

  15. So glad she is back! Good thoughts to help her get to 100%! She and Audrey look uber-adorable in the new basket!

  16. Love that she's back, with her crazypants sister, and that she's purring and happy. In the last photograph in the series above, she looks positively SHAGGY! I love cats like that -- my Bucky is one whose coat hangs almost to the floor (aided by his short legs).

  17. Glad to have Wylla back with us. Good job, kitty, with the bath and blow dry. Now let's get that gut of yours in working order! Audrey needs someone to play "Crazed Monkey Toddlers gone Wild" with!

  19. I'm so glad Wylla is back with you, all clean and comfy and cuddling with her sister. Here's hoping the rest of her medical issues clear up quickly so she can grow up to be as beautiful a big cat as she is a kitten!

  20. Love the new basket, looks like the girls do too! So glad to see Wylla back and at it!

  21. She looks a little less floofy, or just damped down, but as cute as ever! What a little darling, so glad she's back! Hope she gets the rest of her issues settled soon!

  22. Thank you so much for the update! Many of us check multiple times a day on Wylla. And think of her often. She looks gorgeous. Praying for her continued recovery!

  23. Oh, such good news! Her eyes look really clear. I hope her remaining issues resolve quickly and smoothly.

Audrey still looks like trouble, even when she's being calm. :)

You are such a good cat mom, Laurie.

  24. Thank you for posting! I was worried sick over tiny Wylla this weekend. I just wanted her to be all better and little Audrey to get her sister back pronto.

I hope they are adopted together but if not I'm certain you will find a special home(s) for both of them.

  25. Wylla looks a bit overwhelmed, but her eyes seem so much clearer!

  26. impatient and wiggly is a good thing. I always feel better when sick kitties start fighting what ever I'm doing to them to help them feel better

  27. Wylla looks much more energetic now, in periscope mode to look over Audrey's head. Poor thing is still mostly floof, though -- let's hope her appetite will pack some more kitty under that fur.

  28. I'm so glad floofy little Wylla is back with you and Audrey! She probably feels better just being home and with family.

  29. Oh Wylla! You look cranky and in need of a nap, but you know what? That's OK. I'm just glad you're home now and that you're feeling well enough to be able to dislike a bath! And look how happy your sister is to see you, little muffin face...

    Yay!!

  30. So glad to hear W's health is improving, and to see her eyes more focused..
There's something about pic #3 that reminds me of a picture of a tennis player toweling off after a hard match...

  31. Oof, the floof! So glad to hear she's feeling better.

  32. Welcome back to the Committee, sweet itty bitty. Keep getting stronger.

  33. Oh hooray, I was waiting all weekend hoping to get this news! Keep getting better Wylla! :) Hope you get all your floof re-floofed!

    ReplyDelete
  34. All that floof in disarray! Charlene is going to have her hands full licking this one!

  35. Those are some great pictures, Laurie. My favorite is the next to last one. So funny.

  36. I bet Wylla liked getting rid of the crusties. I think she has a slight smile in the pics towards the bottom. Prayers that she gets totally healthy soon and can join Audrey in kitten crazy adventures!

  37. Wylla is so beautiful - and very lucky to have you in her corner, Laurie. I hope her remaining health concerns will be cleared up very, very soon!

  38. Yay! Clean and getting better... So happy to see this pretty little girl again.

  39. You know her eyes are starting to look more and more like her sister Audrey's-very bright and alert! And she looks annoyed at having to get cleaned up which is probably a good sign :^P Still hoping for all signs of illness to take a hike so that she can be properly introduced to Bean!

  40. Oh my, but Wylla is so cute and pretty and Audrey too. Great to hear the news. Thank you for the post

  41. Oh man.. I was worried since there wasn't an update on Friday. I just opened the site and was afraid to look in case there was bad news again. Hopefully the issues to be resolved aren't insurmountable, and that both girls will be ready to meet Ms Bean and get their official licking very soon!

  42. It makes my heart happy reading how you take such good care of these babies!

  43. She is such a sweetie and one of the most beautiful kittens ever. I do so hope that she recovers fully--thank you for looking after these beautiful animals and giving them such loving care.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I would love to see a final photo of Wylla finally settled down for her nap! Poor girl. Looks like she's still a little pouty in that second picture. But I'm sure she's very glad to be clean!

  45. Picture #6 has Wylla sporting what a friend of mine calls "the look of love." :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Precious little peanut. She is back in the sweetest place for recovery. Always good to be home rather than in hospital. And a bath never fails to make things feel better! We will keep sending love and warm, healing thoughts. Thank you so much for the update!!

  47. This news made my day. I worried about Wylla all weekend and I'm so happy she's back with her sis. I'll continue to send prayers her way and I hope these two find forever homes together. These photos are simply beautiful. Thank you for all you do for these babies.

  48. So glad to hear Wylla's back and strong enough for a bath - I've been checking IBKC a couple of times a day, worrying about her. And yes, I heard you that there are still issues - but for now, I'll keep my fingers crossed and my prayers going that she comes out of all this a perfectly healthy little kitty girl.

  49. Wylla looks better, and she looks like she's glad to be home. Audrey is adorable as always. I want them.

  50. I hope Wylla continues to get well and Audrey continues to thrive! Thanks for taking care of these little furballs!

  51. nothing sadder than a wet kitten except a wet floofy kitten!! Welcome home Wylla, we missed you, especially Audrey, I am sure!! Thanks for the update Laurie.

  52. I don't know what it is about these two, and it's probably wrong to have favorites in the first place because kittens are kittens are kittens (they're all cute), but Wylla and Audrey are definitely my favorites. I hope it all works out for them.
