All the Smalls

I'm usually not lucky enough to get a group shot so soon, but these Small kittens are such wonderful little posers, they were more than happy to sit still long enough for their first family portrait.

So here you have it, all the Smalls.

Can you believe our sweet tabby Ruth birthed all these Siamese babies? Kitten genetics are a wonderful, baffling thing.

Thought you might like to have a peek at them today. You'll officially meet each kitten in posts to come.

Happy Friday!

  4. Sooo... Ruth was hanging out with some Thai boy kitties? They're all so precious, love them!

  5. On closer inspection, it looks like one may be a tortie point!

  6. I love them already. The greybies of the last litter and now this family...you're on an especially cute streak lately! Their mother looks like a sweetie too.

  9. Amazing little family!! And I hope their mom will be okay.

  10. What beauties! Apparently, Ruth figured if she was only going to have one fling, it ought to be exotic and memorable ;)

  11. The BEST things come in Small(s) packages! And... if I were in Tacoma - I'd be bringing sweet Ruth home! (I wish!)

  12. How sweet! We have a flame point that we rescued and I never got to see her as a kitten, so I'm getting an extra kick out of this litter.

  13. Holy Siamese !!! Wow look at those babies! As a mom of two Siamese crosses (rescues) - I can appreciate these little beauties - lovely!

  14. When I was growing up my mom raised siamese cats. We started out with a red point female (rare in those days) and a chocolate point male. They produced every "point" color possible. So glad to see this mixed bunch of little 'meses!

  15. Isn't it wonderful yet baffling? I have an 18-year-old boy, and when he was given to us we were told that he was part Siamese due to one of his grandparents. I was very skeptical since he's your run-of-the-mill long-haired white-and brown little man. Until he opened his mouth. And then I met one of his littermates who had Siamese markings and crossed blue eyes. That's when I believed.

  16. Oh my gosh are they adorable!
Ya know, I almost guessed pointed kittens when you showed the momma... I had a tabby just like her and we knew that she was part siamese. Though the only outward sign was her talk talk taiking all the time and the ears. There's something about the ears.. And yup! Pointed kittens! How cool!
By the way, the toes on the far right one are killing me dead!

  17. Ruth seems to have had one handsome Siamese boyfriend. I feel bad for the daddies not usually meeting the adorable babies they sire. I am already completely in love with Louis. That teeny orange nose kills me.

  18. Oh, they are adorable! And what a beautiful Momma as well.

  19. I wish I lived in Washington or near Tacoma. These guys are gorgeous!

  20. POINTS!!! I was right!
    SO ADORABLE!
I have a seal point tabby boy who looked strikingly similar to the kitten 3rd from the left. He's much darker now (color points darken with age), but I remember that nearly pure white little face!
I can't wait to see these kitten grow and darken up some so we can see exactly what's in store for their beautiful markings!

  24. you can just pack 'em all up and send them to me, including mama. Too bad I am an east coast girl!!

  25. You should just FedEx Ruth to me. Her babies are lovely but there's something in her face...

  26. You know, my mom says cats in the same litter can still have different daddies -- but clearly these all have the same one!

  27. AND I just realized that at this very moment, my mom has a tabby that closely resembles Ruth, and Molly-the-tabby had a tabby girl and a lynx-point boy. She's a tiny little thing and her boy is a football with legs.

  31. I am currently fostering a tortie mama with her five 11-day-old kittens. Three tabby and two white, and the white baby girl is developing gray on her ears, tail, and toes. I can't wait to see what she looks like in another couple weeks!

  32. Wonderful Smalls! Welcome to Miss Butterbean's finishing school!

The purriculum includes: cuddling, photography, videography, exuding feline cuteness, grooming, charm, kitten mischief and entertaining\mystifying humans.

  33. Could these babies be cuter!? I'm swooning. :D

  34. What an insanely adorable Small bunch! Oh, I can't wait to see what antics they get up to in the coming weeks! And I know that kittens thrive with you, Laurie, but is it wrong of me to hope the Smalls hit 1 lb 8 oz and stay there for a while so we can enjoy them for an extra-long time?

Also, count me in as one who'd adopt mama Ruth in a heartbeat if I were in your area. What a beauty she is. And I like her taste in boyfriends. :)

  35. I just saw that Ruth has been adopted! Hooray!! We're all smiles here.

  38. Wow. I know we're all thinking the same thing but these look more like Charlene's babies than dear little tabby Ruth's. They are certainly a beautiful litter and a very lucky one at that to be in your kind hands. I am so glad that their mum has her forever home too.
