Final Family Portrait

Well, there are only four Winklers with us today.  Leonard has left us.

I'll be sharing his departure tale this afternoon, but first I wanted to share one last family portrait with you.

What a fabulous set of  dashing young Tabbies.   How lucky we were to spend a little bit of time getting to know them.

In case there's still some confusion as to who is who....
From left to right:
Leonard, Bibi, Flip, Franklin and Daphne.

  1. Cute group! It always amazes me you can get a litter to sit for that (even knowing there are probably many attempts). I tried to get ONE CAT to pose on a pillow next to a sign last night, and she flat refused!

  2. Such a great picture - the yellow tags make me teary eyed every time!
Good luck, Leonard! Don't forget to write :)

  3. Terrific Tabby Troupe! The gold medals are too awesome...and bittersweet for their fans!

  4. Are you sure those are ears and not radar dishes, Flip? You're going to be one big boy when you grow into those ears.

I love the girls in this litter.

  5. As usual, I'm simultaneously happy and sad to hear that the babies are leaving the nest. Enjoy your new home, Leonard!

The group photos really show how much smaller Bibi is than her siblings. She's truly itty bitty!

  8. What a gorgeous photo. I am such a sucker for a tabby.
I'm thrilled for their people, I'm happy for them, but I'm going to have a cry anyway.

  10. Good luck Leonard!!

Bibi is so tiny - there is usually one in every crowd. :)

  11. As usual, a great family portrait. They are all just too precious! You are truly a "kitten whisperer".

  13. What cuties!

The peep wants to know just how you managed them all to pose like that... all at once. Apparently, I'm not the most co-operative cat when it comes to picture taking... at least that's what I'm told...

  14. Leonard is on a separate cushion but with one paw on the cushion his litter mates are all on. Its like he knows he is leaving and is slowly separating himself now that he is all grown, has lost his bitty bits, been awarded a gold medal and gained a forever home. Bye - have a wonderful life.

  16. This litter is very leggy. These cuties will grow up to be some very tall cats. I have one who was the same as a kitten, and now he can reach up onto our tables without leaving the ground.

  17. Doesn't Leonard look handsome in his golden tag? So sad to see them leave, as always, but he does look ready to go, doesn't he? He's ready for his next adventure and his fur-ever home. Kisses to Leonard! I hope we receive updates from his new family.

  18. Do the kitties notice when one of them leaves? Or do they just move on with life? I know my cats will go look for each other if one is not where the others are. Just wondering

  19. They must Susan - because I know when my kittie's best buddy, our dog leaves even to go outside just to do her business - he runs around the house crying and looking for her.

  20. Gosh, is it time for happy tears already? I'm always so sad to see the kittens start moving on, but also so happy for them and their new families. Such lucky families, to get graduates of the best Kitten Finishing School in the world! And whoever gets Bibi has my permanent envy -- such a darling little teeny thing! Since my own Emily has to have been the runt of her litter, too, I'm more than a bit partial to the tiny ones now. :)
