But no one can get it off the ground like Wiley Knapp.

  12. "Wiley Knapp Likes to Leap" is totally a children's book. With apologies to the late Dr. Seuss...

    Wiley Knapp likes to leap!
He leaps on beds where people sleep.
And while he's leaping on the bed,
He leaps right over Cecil's head!
He'll leap up here, he'll leap up there,
    Why, Wiley will leap anywhere!
    When Wiley's out of quarantine,
    He'll leap for Charlene Butterbean!
He'll leap up onto Laurie's lap,
    That lovely leaping Wiley Knapp!

  16. I agree, those skinny legs and belly are just too much! What a cutie! How you manage to get these photos astounds me. I would hardly be able to hold the camera still from laughing at his little stretched out legs. And great leaping effort by Sylvie too!

  27. My windows are open as I read this post, laughing out loud at the bellies, gangly legs, kitten feet... Neighbors must think I'm the crazy cat lady. Wiley is such a perfect name for this tiny jumper. Kath's poem--brilliant.

Thank you for truly brightening my days.

  35. Funniest photo series I've seen in ages! Fierce legs, Wiley. I can't imagine what you're going after out of frame ...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Brilliant poem, Kath! And Laurie I agree with the others. The composition in this set is absolutely hilarious! Would you give us a clue how you did it? Seems like you'd have needed a tripod or an extra set of hands to incite leaping while snapping the shutter.

    1. No tripod, just me, a camera and a feather wand.

  37. Laurie, I really do hate to criticize, but I'm beginning to think you may have chosen the wrong surname for this batch of itty bitties. Wiley, especially, doesn't seem very disposed to (k)napping. :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. That boy sure can leap! Love those little legs and the podgy little tummy :)

  39. I love the little toesies! Thank you, and Wiley, for today's chuckle.
