Mixing and Mingling

Today is day fourteen, so the quarantine period has officially ended and Charlene got to FINALLY meet the Knapps!   I had my camera poised and ready to go, but sadly just 12 seconds in, the battery died.   I did manage to catch Charlene's first glance and if you turn up your volume, you can hear her coo a little hello.  It's pretty dang sweet.

After their greeting, the Knapps began bouncing around the room and Charlene moved to higher ground to perch on the back of her favorite chair.    Cecil ventured up there to spend a little one-on-one time with Bean.

  1. That little coo was so sweet, and I love how they all just trotted right up to her. Yay, kittens. :)

  2. I love how Cecil just trots right up to her. Wiley and Sylvie both pause for a second or two, but not Cecil! They're all so adorable, and Miss Bean is so sweet with them. Gah! You really need to offer an insulin chaser with these videos!

    1. I second the insulin chaser request. I need one right now. ;D They are so cute, and I just love how Cecil showed no fear in going to check out the strange new kitty, and once it was clear he wasn't going to be eaten or mauled, Wiley and Sylvie were all like, "I'm there!" *G* Miss Bean is awesome.

  4. That coo was adorable! Too cute the way they all came up to her but Wiley hung back a little - seems like he'd be the fearless one.

  12. That's just the sweetest thing! I love her coo, and the little kitten butts, and the little up-arrow tails.

I suspect Charlene is going to get lots of kitten love, and you'll have lots of photo opportunities. Can't wait!

  13. So precious... unless there was a lot of wary staying-away before you started filming the Knapps seem to be on the bolder side. There was a moment's hesitation in a couple cases, but whatever doubts they had seem to have fallen to the Bean's aura of caring almost without a beat.

  15. Oh my gosh! I sounded like Bean said, "Come on!" while simultaneously nodding her head in the direction they should come. I'm sure of it. I'm fluent in cat. :)

    1. I agree completely! It couldn't be any clearer, could it? I watched several times just to be certain. :)

  16. Cutie pies! I especially like the butt-sniffing photo. What a sweet boy Cecil is, and what a kind mama Ms. Bean is.

HA-ha-ha! That's great. Although I'm sure I'm showing my age by commenting on this.

I also agree with Anonymous and Lynda. Beanie definitely says "come on."

  20. I love how Cecil nearly went tail over teakettle while he was checking his Aunt Charlene out.

And his little sniff\kiss at the end made my teeth ache!

  21. It's just magical, the way Charlene brings kittens under her spell so quickly! So, so adorable. That little coo just melted me.

  22. Oh. Em. Gee. I can't tell which is cuter, the sweet Bean coo, or the impossibly cute bendy-sniffy greeting in the second to last picture...this post is so sweet my teeth ache.

  24. So how long did it take for Bean to mosey up to the kitten food tray?

Charlene coo-ing is very cute! and that little Cecil is a tease, isn't he, aaww...
And yes, of course include the snap of Miss Charlene "chillaxing"...then again she is a LADY! You don't want to vex a lady.

  26. Oh my word! You've got to love the Bean! Precious.

  27. I love how in the first few stills, Cecil's hair is poofy and his back is arched... but then by the end, his fur is flat and his tail is pointing straight up!

  28. Is that head-down, butt-up position Cecil's doing a defense mechanism? My little stray kitty does that when the two domesticated cats get up in her face.

I guess that's "getting your back up," right? :)

  29. BTW is that Charlene's regular voice or did she soften it for the kittens? I'd love to hear more audio of her. She doesn't sound like a Siameezer at all!
