Shello Again, Sheldon!

Last, but certainly not least, we have dear Sheldon.    We all fell in love with this boy and his intense gaze and his grumpy little face.

He's so, so dashing!

Thanks so much, Carmen, for sharing these wonderful pictures  of your handsome boy!

This has been a fun week, hasn't it?   It's been so great seeing the grown-up Dearborns!  Thank you so much to all the parents who generously shared their photos and updates on this fabulous and diverse little litter!

  1. O what a way to start the day!
I so love Sheldon's "I am NOT impressed" expression. Makes me feel a little insecure...

  2. He looks so SOFT! I want to reach through the screen and pet him.

    1. He is soft! In fact, both he and Pearla are SO soft. And their bellies - omg. I like to rub my face in them but they aren't quite as fond of that game as I am.

  3. Grumpy Sheldon! This brought a smile to my face this morning. Like his siblings, he's got the whole "long cat is long" going on, too.

It's so wonderful to see the Dearborns again! I won't like, they were my favorite of all the litters last year.

    1. Nope, not really. He always looks like that. He is still VERY intense. When he makes biscuits it's very serious business. He will walk up to me, stand on his back legs, stretch up as high as he can and look me straight in the face and meow. Then wanders off. But he only LOOKS cranky, he purrs all the time - he purrs more than Pearla does.

  5. Sheldon grew from a cute little fluffy-wumpus to a very handsome and sleek kitty. He looks so confident in his home too.

    Thank you!!!

  6. I can't believe he turned into a tabby point. He didn't look stripey in his kitten pics.

  7. Oh my... that gratuitous whisker shot!! Why I do believe I have a case of the vapors.

  8. I see he got the long tail too. The Dearborn tails really are exceptional. Phoebe's looked twice as long as my cat's.

  9. Holy moly! Such a handsome man-cat! And boy does he know it. ;)

  10. Oh what a handsome boy!! And I know he has to be a sweety, despite his grumpy reputation. Glad to see the owie from his earlier flying attempt healed with no problems!

  11. he's so handsome! He looks so different from when he was a kitten - except for the grumpy face. (giggle)

Loved the catching up of the adorable kittens.

  12. A picture of grumpy Sheldon and the Dearbons on the telethon fundraiser set made it to Cute Overload: one poster mused "Why does the Siamese kitten look so mad?" and another replied "Because he's the muscle for the operation." I can never look at a grumpy Sheldon picture without thinking about this and chuckling. Of course, his tough guy image was reinforced by that club of a cast he bore temporarily... for roughing up a stingy donor? heh heh ;p

Hopefully he didn't notice the yellow-shaped heart on his cast - one can only imagine how indignant he might have been over how this demeaned his badge of masculinity.

  13. And might I add how much the "lounging" on the sofa photos made me chuckle, too. This kitty is just the paragon of entitlement. In his "human life," I can imagine him as a kind of Armani-suit wearing mafioso - the kind that tolerates no guff from anyone but still carries around a lint brush. ;p

Also, ditto on the "velvety" fur observation which seems to apply to his sister, Pearla as well.

    1. When I see him like that I tend to give him a nod and ask "How YOU doin'?" all Joey from Friends style.

    2. ROFLOL!! That is absolutely perfect! :D

  14. Wow, he has changed. I expected him to just have a grey muzzle as an adult, not a full mask. He looks like a catburglar, nylon stocking, gloves and all. :D

I also thought all the Dearborns would end up as floofballs. They were a bit in-between as kittens, not quite floofy, not quite smooth.

Has he greyed a bit all over? His kitten coat looks more blindingly white, but that could be camera differences.

You're still my favourites, Dearborns. <3

    1. Those pics are pretty true to color - he did gray up a bit although it's not really gray in his coat. He's more cream colored now.

  15. OH, thank you lucky Dearborn parents for sharing updates; they're my all-time favorite litter. Maybe because they were with you, Laurie, a little longer than most, so we also spent more time with them? Even though tortie-and-whites are my favorites (I'm gazing adoringly at YOU, Marla) every single kitten in this litter was/IS heartbreakingly adorable. Saying goodbye was bittersweet; this week is nothing but happy.

  20. Sheldon is so swanky looking. The only thing missing is a martini and some sexy arm candy. I'm sure Charlene would volunteer.

  24. I swear, Sheldon is a carbon copy of my kitty Beauregard. They're actually about the same age. I adopted Beau at 9 weeks in June. Siamese mix kitties make such handsome cats.

Ahhh Sheldon, one of my favorites. The smartest, handsomest, strongest brother in the Dearborn litter.

  27. I've so been enjoying the Dearborn photos. But you know who I keep returning to . . . it's lovely Charlene, of course. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of her with her pupils dilated. You know that mischievous look they get? I'd love to see what she looks like when she's up to making trouble!

  28. Sheldon's s'marvelous! I like to think maybe he's carrying on the spirit of my favorite Cranky Lady, Drewey.

  29. I love Sheldon - such a sweet little boy and now such a handsome young man. :) Love grumpy kitties! Thank you for the wonderful Dearborn updates - what a special little group of kittens they were and now such special kitties. I'm so glad to see how happy and healthy they all are!

  32. Thank you so much for sharing your pictures with us Laurie and Carmen. I love Sheldon (he never looks grumpy to me, just intense, but I must be the odd one out). He was one of my favourites from my favourite litterand I'm so pleased to see how he grew up into such a handsome boy. He's changed more than the others too--I hope we get to see more of all the dear Dearborns.
