Schoolboy Crush

Just a few days after the Trimbles moved in with us, when they were still living in the wire kennel, Charlene sneaked into their room.   The second Monroe noticed her, he came to the front of the cage and started rubbing his little face and body against the bars.  It was love at first sight.

He still has a thing for Charlene, and when he sees her, he just gets goofy.   He'll drop on the floor and roll over on his back in excitement.   He'll start cooing and chirping to get her attention.

I think he's got a bit of a crush on her.    See for yourself...

  4. Bean seems adept at being adored. I loved it the quick tail attack from the back, while she was distracted by her fan.

  7. So cute. Reminds me of our pair... except our Cleo is not even a little bit tolerant of Wally's crush.

  8. Floofsters gotta stick together! Poor kitty off on the right side feeling all neglected - can't tell if it's Bess or Willard. He's too cute - and a beautiful cat.

  9. Laurie, will you be getting more sparkle balls in before X mas? All of ours are under the fridge!

  10. I think extra sparkle balls are always a great thing, especially when they support such a good cause. But I cannot recommend enough something like this from Lowes (http://low.es/t6DOVS)to slip under the fridge or stove to prevent the loss of toys. My boyfriend did this for me a month after I met him. It's why I'm marrying him.

  12. Oh, I do believe he does. How can she resist him!?

  13. How will you be able to get rid of him? You'll break his little heart if he has to leave the Bean!

  15. OMG, that is so dang adorable!!! It reminds me of every little boy who crushes on his kindergarten teacher. Charlene is the *perfect* first crush; she'll never make fun, and always let them down easy.

  16. It must be mutual.. She even ignored the tail attack from the other kitten. We ALL know that her tail is off limits!

  17. It looks as if she has a little crush on him too, or is she just using him for access to the kitten food?

  18. @ Anonymous: Well, it has been previously established that the Bean has a thing for floofy tabby boys, so yeah, I think you're right. Has the refined and dignified Charlene Butterbean gone cougar on us?!?

  19. Oh, that is too cute! I love how she just calmly sits and watches Monroe's silliness.

  20. How sweet, but it looked like Monroe was at risk of falling off for a second there!

  21. No surprise here, as Bean IS truly adorable! How calm she is with all the little ones.

  22. I hear him sighing that they have so much in common, all that floof. I also love the white "please skritch here" spot on his chin.

  23. I hope his adoptive family has a friendly adult kitty for him to be best friends with.

  24. He is such a boy - can't decide whether to be shy and bashful or unabashedly throw himself at her ;)

  25. I just love the way she turns around to greet him. Very cute.
