Beanie GETS a Bath

Yesterday, for the very first time, I witnessed Charlene on the receiving end of a bath.

I guess little Victoria thought Charlene was in need of a cleaning so she just jumped on the window ledge with her, and started giving Bean a bath.

I'm kind of surprised Bean allowed it.  But she did, and when Miss V was done, Charlene returned the favor.

And after the bath was over, it was time for some snuggling and gnawing.

  1. Aww Beanie that was nice letting Miss Victoria Anne give you a bath!

Very cute and cuddly pair :) and was that some purring I heard in the video...?

I wonder if it was Beanie purrs...

  2. That was some lovely cleaning and purring there :D

  3. Lovely!

Miss Victoria is so sweet, how could Miss Charlene get irritated with her? Besides, it is good practice for Miss V in case she gets to be a foster momma!

And then the mini snugglefest...man-o-man how sweet they are.

  4. Charlene seemed genuinely surprised, didn't she? Very sweet, Victoria Anne, very sweet. I also like the open-mouth, full-fangs bite poses in the stills at the end! "I bite you neck!!!"

  8. Oh my sainted aunt!!! I cannot believe how perfectly darling this is - the pics, the video, Victoria Anne her sweet little self and *Charlene*!!! What a shock it must've been for her, and whatever possessed Victoria to do such a thing? Of all the itty bitties who've gone through your loving home, and Aunt Charlene's School for Kittens, why this kitty?

I'm just floored by this, and so very glad you caught the historic event for us all to enjoy.

  10. Charlene's just trying a new teaching technique- learning by doing!

    Cute!

  11. adorable!!! That Bean is a special girl. Though she may have her work cut out for her since it appears Victoria may have been putting off of Charlene's furs in the wrong direction. :)

  12. Why do I have a mental picture of Laurie stopping short on seeing that and zooming for the camera? I for one am glad she did - what a trip!

Miss Victoria is mostly definitely destined to be a dominant cat.

  13. I love the resigned look Charlene gives you. "Really? So you're NOT going to help out here." followed by the bitey pics.

  14. I'm having a very hard time squeeing only internally.

  15. Now that's a first! Victoria Anne, you've clearly learned your skills from a master.

  16. That brought a huge smile to my face on what has been a most craptastic day at work. :D Thank you for sharing these images and the little movie.

  17. Oh my goodness! Far far far too adorable! What a good teacher Bean is, and what an adept student Victoria Anne is!
I wonder, did she want a lick session and thought the best way to get what she wanted was to show Charlene? "Here, do this please?" You never know.. she might have just learned how to get what she wants!

  18. Aww, little Victoria Anne thought it was high time Charlene got some pampering instead of always looking after her and her sisters. What a polite, grateful little girl she is.

  20. The purring is adorable in that video :)

  21. Yep just as I suspected. Epic.
I love the initiative Miss Victoria took! Charlene seemed to enjoy it too. :) I can't imagine how long it would've taken VA to clean all that floof if Charlene had let her.

  22. They make a very sweet pair... *nudge nudge wink wink*
I adore the synchronized yawning in the last shot. teehee!

  23. Victoria Anne apparently has a good mommy instinct, the precious little darling. I hope she's adopted with at least one sister!

  24. Oh, and I love how she's up on her little tippy-toes, particularly in the third picture.

  25. Ok, this was worth the wait after Miss Bean's tease last night. Ther's not a better way to show your teacher you've learned all she's taught. Good job, Charlene, and Victoria Anne, too.

  26. That's about the sweetest thing I've ever seen. That one picture looks like Charlene is saying "Awww mom, can we keep her?"

  27. Is that a Bean tongue sticking out in the first pic?

  28. Awww!! I just love how especially tiny these kittens look next to Charlene!! <3

Precious! Little Victoria is a very lovely lady. I'll bet she'll grow up to be a total sweetheart, and maybe she'll pass on the Bean tradition of fostering little babies! Good Girl CB! You teach them well <3

  30. Well, that was ridiculously sweet wasn't it?

  31. Adorable! What a cute pair.

I'm so glad you were able to capture this special moment -- pictures *and* video -- we are so spoiled!

  32. Victoria Anne reminds me of my own Clarissa Anne when she was a wee kitten. Clarissa is now 11 years old and still a sweet as ever. And your Bean is a special girl to get along with all of these kittens! I so wish I was in your area - I'd adopt those two cali girls in a heartbeat. Probably a good thing I'm in Kentucky!

  33. @Andrea and the Celestial Kitties

I had a brother and sister cat team who used to do that! Brother would give his sister two licks, knowing that he'd get a full bath in return!

  34. I have been having a horrible week but this post really cheered me up!
