A Little Mingling, A Little Mixing

(and some puffing and some hissing)

They're getting a little better, but these little Dearborns still don't know what to make of Charlene.   So far, Geraldine has been the only one brave enough to be the recipient of a Bean bath.

I'm sure after a little more mingling they'll all by fine and comfortable.  Charlene is patient, and willing to wait it out.

  3. The Bean's patience never ceases to amaze me. She is just lying there waiting for the kittens to come to her and she knows, eventually, they will cave in.

  4. Wow. One has no idea how itty-bitty the kitties are until one sees them in contrast to a *ahem* full-sized kitty. Can't imagine how much itty-bittier they were when they arrived!

  6. Is it unusual for itty-bitties to take this long to become comfortable with the fabulous Bean? Somehow I always thought it was more or less instantaneous.

  7. Yes, I was wondering about that too. I guess that much floof can be a bit overwhelming...

  8. Bean always takes to them right away, but it's not always instant with the kittens. Also, they haven't spent a ton of time together, mostly they've been in their room with just an occasional outing to the living room. Until recently, they were too small to have the run of the house. I try to keep Bean out of their room because she gets into the kitten food. So, they've really only mingled a few times now.

  11. I'm sure that they're taking a little longer to warm up to the Bean because they are just stunned and in awe of her beauty and floofiness! ;)

  12. I only see four kittens--is one of them playing ninja kitten and hiding in shadows, or just shy?

  13. I was wondering about that too. Phoebe appeared to be missing ... is she ok?

  14. Rat, They are all in there, just not all at once. It's mostly just the girls, but Sheldon makes an appearance in the last shot. Chee, Phoebe is in all but the last frame.

  15. It s so sweet how Bean lays down so as not to intimidate the kittens. She is so sweet!

  17. Charlene, you are such a good girl! So patient. The Dearborns will warm up to you soon enough, I'm sure. And if they don't, it's their loss!
