  1. Lively! I love it. What a great last name for a group of kittens. Time to practice some curtain climbing skills, little Truman -- just to live up to your name, of course.

  12. Nice to meet you, Tru!

My great uncle was named "Truman". His brother was "Sam". (Yep, "Uncle Sam".)

  14. It brings tears to my eyes because you named him Truman. The best friend I will ever have was my former cat, Truman, a fetching grey and white boy who was a Prince Among Cats. He was the kindest, sweetest, most defiant, escape artist I have known. When I was sad, he'd sit in my lap. He had a great sense of humor and on my pillow next to me every night. He had a very expressive face and you always knew what he was thinking. Just like Truman Capote, he had a flair for the dramatic. Three years ago, his 7 month long battle with oral cancer in the mouth ended. He was 11 years old. I still miss him every day. His ashes have a place of honor on my bookshelves in my living room. I have a new cat now that I love dearly, but no other creature will mean as much to me as my sweet Truman.

I wish this little guy all the best in finding a forever home that will treasure him as much as I did my Truman. May he prove right my theory that personalities are specific to names.

Welcome to the IBKC, Truman. You're in good hands.

  22. I wonder what that awesome, wonderful little basket would say if only it could...let's listen in, shall we, as the "basket" and Laurie have a little conversation...

Basket: Look at me go! I can easily hold 4 little kitteh Kats without even breaking a sweat! Go Basket! Go Basket!

Laurie: Oh yeah, so what! Bet you can't take kitteh pics like I can! So there!

Basket: Just because I'm "apposing thumb challenged" doesn't mean that I don't have skills! For example, let's see you hold a litter of kittehs like I can!

Laurie: Oh honestly, you get on my nerves!

Basket: whispers under breath "Go Basket! Go basket!

  23. I started visiting when Craig was covered by the Ittah Bittah Kittah Committah on LOLCats / icanhascheezburger.com.

I am sorry I do not recall which batch of kittahs were in house at that time.

It was been hard to visit after my cat died in Feb. And then to see Drewey leave (their colors were similar), dang... heartstrings.

Thanks for you excellent photos and joyful posts.

  25. I have just added you to my toolbar within the past week. LOLcats/Cuteoverload one or the other led to your site. I have decided when I retire I am going to have my own IBKC! So there! Until then, I am going to love yours! And if I lived closer, Truman would be mine!! Bwhahaha!
