Have Tea With the Bean!

DSC_0836

As part of our fundraiser, we're auctioning off an afternoon tea with The Bean!     Here's a chance for you and a friend to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the IBKC world, have a little lunch, and meet Charlene and the IBKs.    The auction is open to anyone around the world,  but you are responsible for your travel expenses.

Charlene is quite excited for the tea.  She promises to be on her best behavior and will be wearing her white gloves.

  5. Oh My Goodness! What a lovely, lovely idea!
I know I am unable to bid high enough to win..I'll have to take on another Charlene challenge instead. But it is so lovely to imagine having tea with the Bean (and you, too, Laurie!)

  7. Well, we know the kittens are all set with their tiny cups of coffee.

  8. Melissa,

A small correction: We know the kittens are all happy to set their tiny posterior in their tiny cups of coffee!

  9. Charlene has a belly stripe? WOW I did not know. Life for me has gotten much tougher (one of the millions of people who lost their unemployement benefits - after 26 whooping weeks), but I promise to donate to my local shelter once I have a job again.

  11. Oh my, I am in the process of planning a trip to Seattle, do we get to choose the time if we are from "out of the area"...?

  12. Laurie - she prefers chamomile... it calms her kitty nerves.

Anon,, yes,, we'll find a mutually agreeable date.

  13. This is a most excellent idea. Who cares about bidding to have lunch with Warren Buffett or Bill Gates when you can have high tea with CHARLENE BUTTERBEAN! Count me in!

  19. I hope the person(s) who get to take the tea are agreeable to documenting the event for the rest of us... We don't need to see your faces. ;-)

[I'd love to participate, but there's a bit too much water and land in between...]

  22. Oh my, what an excellent idea for an auction! If I had the funds (both to auction and to travel to Seattle) I would so do it! For next year's fundraiser, when I win the lottery, I will do it! ;)
