Two Questions:

DSC_0020

1. What's for breakfast?

2. Where are the kittens?

Answers:

1. Get down from the table, Charlene.

2. I DON'T KNOW! I can't believe they're not here already!!! But please remember,,, no kittens at the shelter during kitten season is a VERY good thing.

1. I'm AT the table, not ON the table. Big difference.

2. Sigh. I know.... but still.....

  1. Aw, Charlene, we're all chomping at the bit too! I can't wait to see more kittens! I do take solace in the fact that there aren't enough to go around however.

  2. haha! I have a similar conversation with my cats! It usually involves the cream cheese on the bagels in the morning though....

  3. Lordy, Charlene, could you be any cuter?

  4. Charlene, just provide some more irresistibly beautiful poses and you will keep us happy while we wait (joyfully) for kittens. Have patience floofy one, some kittens will come.

I love the wait on one paw, but when I am in desperate need I search thru the links to the past litters to pay them a visit, of sorts.

  5. Oh, sweet Charlene... you are behaving, and I know you want some kittens to love and raise to be wonderful cats themselves. They'll be here soon enough. Get caught up on your naps, and revel in getting your person's undivided attention for a bit.

Can't wait for the kittens to arrive to have some kitten food to chow on. Enjoy the peace and quiet while you have it Miss Bean.

  7. As much as I love the pictures on this website, I'm sure the IBKC deserves a little break and it's great if there are no orphans in need right now. Maybe some of the alumni could offer us updates in the meantime? I would love to know if the graduates have made good use of Charlene's fly catching lessons.

  8. We actually like to hear there's no surplus of kittens - at least for the time being. However, I don't think that will last too long, so you should be getting some soon, Miss Charlene.

Keep looking purrty! And, wow, you're not allowed on the table? I tried to impose that rule here years ago, but my cats just laughed at me and have ignored it ever since. :)

  9. "no kittens at the shelter during kitten season is a VERY good thing"

And how! As much as I want to see the kittens, not having them brings a bigger smile to my face. The work everyone did for the Bean Isolation room is paying off.

Poor Bean though, she's probably lonely without her big sister and no kittens.

  10. As always, Charlene has her priorities straight... ;)

  11. Aren't you the well-mannered Bean, Charlene? And Jason, I had the same thought about Charlene missing Drewey. As sad as that makes me, the realization that there aren't gobs of kittens waiting to be adopted (during kitten season no less!) thrills me.

  12. Miss Bean has wonderful Table Manners. No elbows on the table. I think her napkin is on her lap. And her chair is just the right height to sip some tuna juice from the china bowl. Right?

  13. I love how Charlene argues semantics: "at" versus "on". Only The Bean would do that!

  14. Charlene, I KNOW, right? Maybe it's time for mama to bring some nice cake to the shelter staff so they give her the first kittens that arrive :)

If there were never another kitten picture on this site I would be happy to look at Butterbean photos every single day.

But, I'm with the Bean sittin' here wishin' for kittens (and kitten food for my favorite internet kitty).

Laurie... very happy about the kitten situation but just to keep our hearts happy any alumni updates?

  18. Ha!

Did she get down? And how long did it take her to decide that she would comply with your request?!

    I love the Bean.

  19. Ms. Bean, in true cat fashion, you know all the loopholes in those silly rules humans invent :)

  20. Poor Charlene Butter Bean, Speedy feels the same way...not kittens is good for the shelter and all the spay/neuter people but bad and sad for him.
