How I Tell My Brothers Apart (by Tressa Lovejoy)
From Left to right: Me, Nelson, Harlan and Neville
I know some of you have been having a hard time telling my brothers apart. It's not easy, they look an awful lot alike. I thought I would point out a few of their identifying marks to make things a little easier for you.
Neville has the least amount of orange. He's a big splotch by his tail and a tiny spot on his right shoulder. He has the whitest face. There are dark streaks from the corner of his eyes and a faint orange spot on his nose.
Nelson has more orange on his backside than Neville. He has a spot on his right shoulder that's kind of heart-shaped. His face is a little pointier too and he kind of looks like a baby fox.
Harlan is my roundest, orange-est brother. His backside is almost completely orange, and the orange on his face is quite dark in comparison to the rest. He's not really chubby, but sometimes it looks like he has a double chin.
I hope you find this to be helpful.

Step Up !
Kitten season is officially upon us and shelters across the country are bursting at the seams.
I know there are a few folks out there who have been considering giving fostering a try. Now would be a very good time to step forward, and take action. Every kitten family that goes into foster, frees up a cage at the shelter for another litter or big kitty to move in.
If you're ready, contact your local shelter, introduce yourself and request some information. They can guide you through the process, and match you up with a litter that would right for your skill level, schedule and lifestyle.
It's an amazing experience, and who knows,, you might just get to host a fabulous little house guest like Mr Harlan Lovejoy!

Well, Well, Well,,, Who Do We Have Here??
It's Orson Davenport!!
Just this week I got a nice little update from Orson's mom. I know you all are always asking about him, so I thought you would be excited to hear a little bit about what the boy's up to. Here's what mama Kendra had to say:
As Orson is playing an endless game of fetch with me (yes - he literally is fetching his pipe cleaner toy and bringing it back to me) I thought you might like to hear from us again. Needless to say, Orson is doing great and he's just a perfect cat. He gets along so well with his cat brother "Mr. Bond" and his dog brother "Cooper." He knows his name, is quite social and comes to greet us every time we're gone and return home.
Thanks to Kendra for the update It's so good to see the boy again.
If you've all forgotten how adorable Orson was as a tiny tot... here's a little reminder.
He Looks Innocent,, But(t)...
I was hanging out with the kittens on the bed this morning. I was lying on my side and talking to Sue on the phone. They had just eaten their breakfast, so everyone was wound up. Nelson and Harlan were wrestling and romping together. Tressa was after my feet and the fringe on the blanket. Neville? Where's Neville?
Then, CHOMP. Neville bit me in the booty. He mostly got a mouthful of pyjama pants, but he did manage to sink his tiny teeth into me.
I think it was an accident.

OK, Are You Ready...
Meet Tressa Lovejoy.
Quite possibly the cutest kittens in the history of all kittens? Yes?
For those of you who voted "Torbie", you are correct. I know, some of you are probably thinking she's a calico, but she's not. A calico has distinct patches of color, Tressa doesn't. She has blended patches of color like a Tortie, in a distinctive Tabby pattern, which makes her a Torbie.
Take a look at her lovely markings.
Cute, eh?
It's 9:02 and I can tell you're all holding your breath,, so I should just hit..."post". Click. Enjoy!

Mysterious Lovejoy
You've met three Lovejoys so far, but there's one left to introduce.
I'm curious to find out what you all think # 4 might be, so I've set up a little poll for you. ( look over there on the right hand side,, up there at the top).
You've got until Monday at 9:00 AM (PST) to vote, then shortly there after, the mystery kitten will be revealed.
And YES, I am saving the cutest Lovejoy for last.

You've Been Warned
Shortly I'll be posting a picture of one of the kittens from our new litter.
I wanted to give you a little time so you can be fully prepared. These are the most knocked-dead-from-the-cute, head-on-your-desk (ker-thunk), sqeeeeeee-worthy babies you will ever see. Seriously.
Go get your smelling salts, folks. You may need them.

It's Milton Monday,,, Again!
Milton and Bunny are back here for a little visit while their parents are out of town. It's so fun seeing them again.
They both are doing great, and have grown so much since they left our nest. They spend every single moment together, romping or sleeping, and really seem to enjoy each other's company. They're a great little unit.
We're still waiting on kittens. It's so strange we don't have some already. Usually by now, the foster room is bursting with kittens. They have been coming in at a very, very slow trickle. It's got to be any day now... just got to be...

Perfect Pairings
Reva and Rex Von Trout
Inez and Edward Loomis Davenport
Trudy and Lyle Livermore
Josephine "Bunny" and Milton Ashby
Keeping up our long tradition of adopting out tuxedo girls with tabby boys, Bunny and Milton went together.
Since they've left, I've had lots of updates from their papa, Christopher. It sounds like they are completely enchanted by Bunny and Milton, and are enjoying these little bundles of energy and fluff in their lives.
No surprise at all, they are fabulous kittens.

Boys Town
Before I could even post their pics,, Sue's kittens got scooped up! No surprise, all four boys are completely adorable. I knew you'd want to meet them anyway,, so here we have the fabulous Flanagan Clan. Tabbies on top are Hollis and Kenny. Cow kitties underneath are Archie and Spencer. Photo credit goes to Sue for the fabulous pile-o-kitten pic.

No More Norman!
Yep, he's gone. So are Bunny and Milton. It's a kitten-free, quiet house this morning. More on their departures to come (next week). And hopefully more kittens next week too. The kitten flood hasn't hit the Humane Society yet, so I'm not sure how long our wait will be. I've already started nagging Traci, and she promises the next litter is mine. Right Traci???
Sue's got a batch of babes,, so in the mean time,, we'll have her cute little fellows to look at. You will meet them tomorrow.
