Today's Visit

Ira's precious paw.
I popped in on the boys this afternoon. Walter was sitting on top of their little cardboard box cleaning his toes. Ira was eating his favorite food, Paw Lickin' Chicken.

The fluids they gave Ira had settled into one of his front legs. He looked like he was wearing a pair of baggy tights, stretched out at the knees.

Walter was spunky. Earlier he had tried to engage his brother in play. Ira wasn't interested. Walter's got an upper- respiratory thing going and was sneezing a lot, but his poo is well-formed.

Ira seemed slightly brighter than yesterday, but still nowhere close to Walter's energy level. He's still has diarrhea, but isn't sneezing like his brother.

They we're looking pretty crusty,, but still are adorable.

We miss them.

  1. OMG! I have the exact same baggy tights as Ira! And I've been known to be pretty crusty, myself.

So good to hear they're holding their own, with little improvements here and there. I KNOW they respond to your loving presence. Bless your heart for visiting them so frequently. Love and hugs to all the IBKC members.

  5. I'm so glad you are able to visit them often, Laurie. Especially at this time of year, when I'm sure you have other holiday obligations - the fact that these kitties are so important to you that you gift them with your time is a little miracle for them. I heart you majorly!

I'm still keeping the Finches in my prayers and hope they get to be "home for Christmas" with you, Craig, Drewey and of course, the lovely Bean!

  12. I have to admit, I was a little worried when there was no update on yesterday's visit before I went to bed.

It's wonderful to hear that the boys seem to be improving, if slowly. Hopefully they'll decide they've worried the humans enough, and be ridiculously healthy from here on in!

Thank you so much for the updates. Like most of the commenters, I also have been worried and eagerly looking for updates. I suspect I will also sneak onto the internet on my vacation just to see how they are doing.

Many hugs to those two... Get better soon!
