WHEW! Much Better!

Finally! We got a little break from the heat! The temperature dropped into the 60s last night, so everyone got a good night's rest.

When I came downstairs this morning I could hear rumblings coming from the kitten room. I opened the door to discover a full-on kitten jamboree! Everyone was bouncing and pouncing, running and jumping. They came out for a quick breakfast, then all dashed into the living room for some SERIOUS play. I think they were all releasing a few days worth of pent-up kitten energy that had built up during the hot, hot days. Three and a half hours later, they tired themselves out, and settled back down for a nap.

AND now...we've got our winner to announce!

The lucky winner of a Dog-A-Thon tee shirt, bandanna, baseball cap and Cinchbag plus a set of 10 IKBC cards is....

GLENYS!!

Please shoot me an email and let me know what your mailing address is, Glenys. I'll send off your prize package right away.

Thanks to everyone for playing along.. and congratulations Glenys!

  1. Thank goodness you were able to cool down the house, the people, and the big and little kitties. Now watch how hungry those furry ones get (at least that's always the case in my house after a heat wave finally breaks).

  7. Chanter - you will get a kick out of the LOVELY exclamation point style tail of young Gaetano in the 2nd photo as he is walking toward us from the background.

His little smudgy nose is adorable too!

The temperature break is awesome...Cloud puppy was so excited when we took a walk late last nite!

  16. You're right, the idea of a kitten with a quirky exclamation point tail is adorable. :! The nose smudge sounds equally darling. Very glad everyone's happier after the hot weather spell. We haven't been as lucky here in dairyland; we've had crummy, rainy weather all week. Blah.

*scritchies and snuggles to kitties big and small*
