Departing Darlings

DSC_0681

I know it seems like they just got here, but yes, it's time to start saying goodbye to these Darling kittens. The first pair are scheduled to depart this afternoon. One more pair and a singleton will leave Saturday morning. Any guesses on who's going with who and who's flying solo?

They're a memorable litter, for sure. They were such a HUGE part of our little fundraising campaign. The next group of phone bank volunteers will have some big shoes to fill!

  1. Oh, how sad to see these Darling kittens go, but I'm excited for them to find their new families. I am going to guess Hubie and Lucinda will go together, Rhoda and Selma will go together, and little Francine will be departing alone.

  3. You couldn't possibly put Hubie and Rhoda together because their new owners heads would surely explode. I'll guess Hubie with Francine, Lucinda with Selma and Rhoda by herself. These were the best batch of kittens evah!!!! Laurie, bless you for all you do!

  4. How happy I am to read that you found loving homes for them ... but I'm almost equally sad to see them leave this blog ;-(
Especially dear little Selma's innocent face has made me smile so many times in the past few weeks.

I hope their new parents provide updates from time to time, so we can comment on how big they've grown!
And as another upside to this departure thing, we will hopefully soon see the next litter moving in ...

I'd guess Selma and Francine go together, Hubie goes with Lucinda, and Rhoda will be the singleton.

  5. They wouldn't be leaving in the middle of the campaign if they reached 15 squillion today ! It's really not that far off.

I've been waiting for payday to make a contribution and today is the day!

I think Hubie and Rhoda go together, Francine and Lucinda, and Selma goes by herself.

  6. Hubie and Francine and always together in the photos, so I'm guessing they must be going together. Rhoda and Selma together and Lucinda flies solo.

Let me say I'm so happy that there are people like you out there. My pennies have been going towards TNR as we have a ridiculous feral and stray population where I live. Quite sad.

  9. I hope Hubie and Rhoda are going together! And I can't bear the thought of a singleton, so that's as far as I'll go.

  13. I'd guess Hubie and Rhoda (so many pictures of them together), Francine and Selma (quite the fluffy pair), and Lucinda going solo.

  23. Five more success stories!
I'm with Cally's Person on the groupings:

    Hubie & Rhoda
    Selma & Francine
    Lucinda

'Cause that's how I'd arrange them if I had to.

  25. Waaaahhhh! Going to miss these cuties. Laurie you must have really powerful willpower to be able to give these and all the other babies you've helped. I know I couldn't as they are all so cute and so much fun. Thank you for helping all the sweet kittehs!

  26. Oh noooooo! Well, I'll miss them terribly (not as much as you!) but am so happy that they're going to wonderful new homes. Most beautiful little kitties ever. Kisses all around! xoxoxo

  27. Boooo I hate to see them go. I was secretly hoping that Selma would be the singleton and that she would need a family so that I could beg my man to let us get a 3rd kitty. She melts my heart and I see a glimmer of a Butterbean in her eyes :)

  28. Ahhhh - parting is such sweet sorrow....or SOMEthing like that!

  29. My heart goes with each and every one of them. I know that you've found them very special homes...too bad they all can't be mine☺
