How I Tell My Brothers Apart (by Tressa Lovejoy)

DSC_0577

From Left to right: Me, Nelson, Harlan and Neville

I know some of you have been having a hard time telling my brothers apart. It's not easy, they look an awful lot alike. I thought I would point out a few of their identifying marks to make things a little easier for you.

Neville has the least amount of orange. He's a big splotch by his tail and a tiny spot on his right shoulder. He has the whitest face. There are dark streaks from the corner of his eyes and a faint orange spot on his nose.

Nelson has more orange on his backside than Neville. He has a spot on his right shoulder that's kind of heart-shaped. His face is a little pointier too and he kind of looks like a baby fox.

Harlan is my roundest, orange-est brother. His backside is almost completely orange, and the orange on his face is quite dark in comparison to the rest. He's not really chubby, but sometimes it looks like he has a double chin.

Gotta love those faces. How on earth did you get them to all look in the same direction at the same time?

  17. Tressa is a complete doll and a very studious young lady.

Oh and Harlan...PINK LIPS AND NOSE! Very kissable.

I use IBKC as therapy at work sometimes. Breath deeply and look at kittens. Ahhh!

  19. Oh Tressa, thank you so much! That will help a lot. I think it is so funny because for some reason, the boys just look like boys to me and Tressa looks like a girl - usually with a kitten you can't really tell, but for some reason I just get the correct gender vibe from these guys and gal. Either way though, they are very adorable.

  26. OMG, this has got to be the cutest family of kitties I've seen on my almost 2 years following IBKC, and that is saying a LOT!

I second the others such as Martin, wishing all 4 can be adopted together...even better if it could be me ;o) too bad I'm in the SE corner of the USA ;o(

  28. Oh Tressa thank you . . . but I am still having some difficulty . . . your foster mom needs to take some more pictures really showing off those distinctive features . . . would you talk to her about that . . . and of course more pictures of your beautiful face too.

  34. Thanks, Tress!

It also kind of looks like Nelson's blaze is a little straighter than Harlan's.

  35. Belated but still. Yay! Now I know more of the details of what these babes look like. :) This makes for a happy chanter.

Cuuuute kitties, of course. It just needed saying again. *cuddles all the kittens, ends up with about four colors of fur on her clothes, doesn't mind a bit*
