Goodbye, My Loves

All of the Ashbys

The Ashbys were kind enough to sit still long enough for a final group photo. Thank you kittens.

First to depart are Clovis and Rupert. Bunny, Milton and Norman will be leaving tomorrow.

Before they they leave, they've got to visit Traci at the HS for one more round of shots this afternoon. Not much of a going away party for the kitties, but it must be done.

It doesn't seem possible that it's time to say goodbye. They haven't even been here a month yet. Like I mentioned before, they've been a super healthy litter. We didn't have to battle any sniffles, sneezes, goopy eyes or upset bellies so there was nothing to slow these kittens down.

They've been the perfect little litter, and I've enjoyed every second we've spent with them. I know when they move on, they are going to make their new families very, very happy.

  4. What a batch of darlings. As our vet once said about our dear, departed Willy, "There's lots of personality in those eyes."

    Traveling Mercies, precious Ashbys.

  9. I truly commend you for all that you do. I have always been an animal lover. My heart just fills up with so much love for pretty much any animal I come in contact with. I also grow very attached in a very short period of time. My BFF calls me the Dog Whisperer, lol. I would never be able to foster animals, because I would never want to let them go. You are a good woman and I love what you do!

Bye, bye you precious little Ashby's!

  10. I can't believe it is time for them to go already. I am so happy that they all had a good start at life with you and are now going to good homes but I am so sad to see them go. I know they will have good lives thanks to you. I can't believe how much I will miss them even though we never even met. I wish happy, sleepy, playful, joyous lives for them all!

  15. Bye sweethearts - and thank you for letting Laurie take this last wonderful picture to remember you by!

I know you will be good kittens - and soon, cats - for your new families. How could you not, as graduates of Charlene's charm school?

Bunny had me considering a transcontinental move. I hope her new folks - and all the parents - send plenty of pictures in the days and years to come!

  20. My hubby says they're drugged! Personally, I think they are practising syncronised cute posing while they still have the chance.

  27. Great job once more of raising up a litter of kittens and posting great photos, Laurie!

It's bittersweet to see this batch go, yet I'm sure they're going to good homes... and that the next needy litter is right around the corner.

    Keep up the great work!

  28. Laurie & babies, it was wonderful to see you all again today, even if it was to get poked and prodded. Bunny led the group with her curious and adorable nose at the front of the crate, ready to greet all who passed by.
    I miss you already.

  33. I could NEVER get all of mine lined up like that lol! Its great you got loving homes for them, it is bittersweet, but you will have the room now to rescue some more...i have a BIG problem with fostering, its so hard for me to send them to their forever homes. I hope all their new families stay in touch with you so you can see them grow.
