Growth Spurt

Mr Lyle Livermore

When The Livermores first moved in with us, they were a tad scrawny and we had a very hard time getting them to eat enough to pack on the ounces they needed. Since then, they have completely turned the corner and are all gaining weight fast! Every day I put the little piggies on the scale and they've gained an ounce, or two,, or three even. Now everyone but Albert is over two pounds. It's kind of caught me off guard. I thought we would have a little more time with the kittens. It's now time to REALLY start trying to find them homes.

So with that said...all of you folks out there in blogland,, who's going to step up and claim these kittens? If you're living in the Seattle/Tacoma area and are needing a little fluff in your life, please consider adopting a pair of Livermores. They promise to give you lots of love, distract you from the depressing things like the election and the state of the economy, and will curl up on your lap and keep you warm and toasty through the cold, winter months ahead. They also promised to always bury their poo and never climb the drapes, but I'm not so sure I believe them.

If you're not in need of a kitty, but know of some quality folks who might be, please send them a link to the blog.

PS...AND speaking of blogs... perhaps you've noticed a couple of changes. I worked into the wee hours last night, mixing things up a bit. There are lots of new things on the side bar including pics of all the IBKC alum and a few new FAQs. Also, a new banner, new colors,,, etc.

  1. Oh my stars, how they've grown! Kudos to Laurie & Craig for raising these beautiful, well-mannered (once feral but I don't believe it) babes!

And thanks to Laurie for the groovy new look of the IBKC! I love Charlene's intro at the top.

This new look inspired me to stroll down memory lane with the Picketts. Sweet Beulah Mae is such a good momma. Any news from her new family?

  2. I love the new look of the site! You are an amazingly talented woman. How I wish I wasn't 3,000 miles away because how could anyone not want an itty bitty kitty with a MANE!

  3. They are just so sweet!

The new look for the blog is great!

  4. Laurie I would so have a couple from this family if I lived anywhere near you...

Trudy and any one of her brothers would do me fine!

    :)

  5. Shana, I got word a long time back that she and Nadine were doing great. Beulah's a lap cat and a lover.

  9. I love the new look! I didn't think you could improve the site but it looks even better than before. The kittens looks great! I took my latest batch in to be neutered last week. They have a meet and greet at the public library Saturday. Wish I could be as successful as you in in finding homes.

  13. Do NOT be deceived! Lyle's weight gain has all been in ear floof!!

Also, don't believe them one little bit about the non-curtain-climbing thing!

  14. At last, it's there for the whole blogworld to see: Charlene IS a star! ;-)

  15. Charlene's billing is well deserved. Without her so many more ill-groomed kittens would be on this earth!

And young Lyle - seems to have put his kitten food all toward bulking up on mane and ear floof!

    But what a charmer.

Alas, my two mature girl kitties are having all they can cope with since I brought home a Yellow lab to raise as an assistance dog.

  16. Time has indeed flown by with the Livermores. Lyle's ruff is looking particularly beautiful.

I hope offers of top quality homes for them in pairs flood in.

The new blog look is very good too, well done.

  17. Today's picture of Lyle is more than I can bear. He might as well have tiny stars shooting out from behind and above him. He is breathtaking! Huge credit, of course goes to Laurie for taking this picture and for the great new look of the blog.

  18. Great new look and features for the blog and Lyle is looking especially sweet with his lion outfit on - mane and all! Wish I was up there to claim a Livermore or two but I'm in the opposite corner of the lower 48, Atlanta! I have no doubt that you will find the quality homes these little babies deserve. My two are feral rescues also, they return all the love you give them and then some! Blessings to you Laurie, you are a woman of many talents.

  21. Starring Charlene Butterbean? That is too awesome. Love that pic of her on the banner too!!

  22. Maybe it's the white marks that the boys have around their eyes, but these kittens almost always look suprised ;-)

  23. Good job giving the blog a facelift! It looks fabulous!

Make some kitty profiles! I love kitty profiles.

  24. Oooh, Lyle is so handsome and lanky and scruffly.

And the new blog layout is very pretty!

  25. hi Laurie

we're long time fans of the IBKC and adore seeing pics of the kitties. Good luck finding homes for the Livermore four - we would be at the front of the queue if we weren't on the other side of the Atlantic.

Love the new look, but we do miss your wonderful tag line: a teeny tiny bloggy about itty bitty kitties.

  26. I like the new look a lot!! Having all the alums lined up in one yearbook is almost too much, cute-wise. :) *Almost*...

  27. I'm with Adrian and Glenda-- that "teeny tiny bloggy" line was wonderful-- do consider keeping it. It was too perfect. Snorgles to all-- it looks great, and so do the precious Livermores!

  28. I love the banner, starring Charlene Butterbean!!!

  29. Just when you think it couldn't get better -- it DOES! Wonderful new look, Laurie. As for the kittens...I'm sure they'll find homes soon. Lawsy do *I* want them!! ALL of them - and Charlene Butterbean....and an enthusiastic publisher, a few million dollars, a new house - oh yeah, and World Peace. But....a new home for our darling Livermores (and a good outcome in the election) will please me plenty much. Sending love your way!

  30. egad. I can't stop looking at those eyes...

  31. Beautiful layout! And what a beautiful kitten-boy! I love that ruff of fluff around him! Perhaps he is a bit of Main Coon. Very striking. He looks like he is taking his First Day of School photo. :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. ooh, can we have the biggest one? he looks just like our casey, and we really like the disposition of the maine coon mixes. except we are in canada, which won't work, right?

    Jen in Canada

  33. I wish we could take one of them! They are so darling! But we're at our cat max now. (After we inquired about sweet little Renatta, and were a little too late, we ended up adopting another kitten and then her foster brother as well..so with a total of 4 we're officially at the cat (crazy) max.)

And do I love "floofy" Charlene Butterbean!! While I do love the itty bitties cuteness - Miss Butterbean ranks right up there.

Love the revamped site! Especially all the alum pics. Thanks for sharing!

  34. The "I'm not fat, I'm floofy" cracks me up each time I see it!

Would it be possible to have an icon made of it?

  35. Lyle is looking so Elizabethan in this picture. Very handsome.
