  2. Butterbean seems to be having a lesson on placing your paws 'just so'. Those kittens have a lot of practicing to do if they want to equal her fluffitude as well.
I wish there were less wrestling and more Butterbean love from my adult cat to my kitten. They love each other... but in a 'manly' fashion full of chokeholds and pins and ambushing leaps.

  3. Butterbean girl is just gorgeous. She just needs a ruler now to slap down on the floor. Pay attention kitties! You may learn something! he he he

  4. Is it just me, or does it make sense that Charlene started with Orson and Inez? Of course, while Charlene sits with her paws on the kitty lounger/school desk, Orson appears to be napping and Inez seems to be tapping into her attention deficit mode. Perhaps Charlene needs to abandon the desk, put 'em in a choke hold, and lick some sense into them!
    Sooooooo CUTE!

  6. P.S. I did the anonymous thing by accident again, but I meant every word of the lick some sense into them comment!

  7. Miss Butterbean really does look like she holding court....love to see her with the new IBKs...she must get as excited as we do by the new meowers!

  8. Charlene is wonderful as usual...

I've been doing some research and Charlene looks like she has some colourpoint ragdoll in her - Its the dark legs and face that does it!

She might have other breeds mixed in as well but I'm not expert enough to tell.

  9. Miss Butterbean is providing important guidance on how a fluffy kitty must behave when spreading their fur....AHEM...LOVE and Purrs around their households.

All the while Inez and Orson look like they are about to break into a bout of kitten wrestle mania.

  11. Ok, I know this blog is about the kittens, but I can't help but to be more enamored with Charlene than the bebes... She just has that effect on me. It's her mannerisms, her face, her composure. Alas, I am in love with the bean girl!!!

  13. Butterbean cracks me up!

She IS showing them how to sit for a picture, isn't she?

What a Queen cat she is. Her pictures just hum with her great personal energy.

    And the babies! Sigh.

  14. ms butterbean is such a good kittie.
orson and inez just seem to belong with her.
are these REALLY kittens or some strange life form from another planet sent here to calm us all?
i'll bet butterbean knows for sure.

  15. Forget the babies, I want Butterbean to come and live with me! But if she wants to bring a baby or two, that's fine also. :)

  16. Prof. Butterbean at her lectern: Tap, tap, attention kitties! That will do.

  17. Agreed, what kind of kitty toy is that? I think Daltrey and Jonah might enjoy something like that.

Daltrey's the type of cat that would like to give lectures as well. Her topic of choice: how to get whatever she wants. Lecture 1: How to wear down your human's natural resistance to feeding time.

  18. Butterbean looks like she's the one waiting to learn, all wide-eared and open-eyed. I think those babies are in detention down there....

  19. FYI the S-Ramp toy thingy came from target, but they have them at petsmart too.

  20. Oh, I can just imagine how much the Davenports will learn from Professor Butterbean. She is so wonderful with the little ones...

  21. If the dear pretty babies can grow into themselves and be _half_ as lovely as our Esteemed Miss Butterbean, they will be stunning indeed! Charlene rocks!

  22. I'm glad to see Butterbean is getting along with the Davenports. She looks happy to have someone to take care of again.

  23. That's so funny, it's exactly what I thought of when I saw the pic on flickr... A teacher and lazy students!

Or... that big kid in the back of the class, that doubled 1rst grade three times, and is trying to be sooo good, next to tiny first-time first-graders... but that's a little mean :P

  24. See, as I see it, Charlene understands English perfectly, and your instructions to her for that pose couldn't be better! Those babies will get with the program, it's always dicey the first Day of School. (I may have to look for one of those scratchers too - what a perfect photo prop!)

  25. Hmmmm... think I need a tutor, myself. Care to lend out Charlene, Laurie! ;-)

  26. I love seeing the Butterbean in her element. She's the perfect teacher and utterly beautiful. I think young Orson and Inez will be getting extra classes.

  27. I love back to school time! Makes me want new shoes. . .

  28. I love how cross-eyed precious Butterbean is. Awesome. I love her.

Orson is so floofy I can't imagine how you do anything all day except sit and squish him.

I want a kitty committee of my own! WAHHHHHH!!!

  29. Orson still remains one of my very favorite IBKC members, so I cheered when I saw him. I would have adopted that boy in a heartbeat if we lived closer! I will always remember the post in which he appears to flip you the bird. That was a classic IBKC post.
