Charlene Butterbean has now been formally introduced to the Pettibone Family. I let her into their bedroom and they all rushed over to meet her, then circled her and purred. She gave them all a few licks, then headed over to their food bowl. Charlene loves kitten food, even more than kittens.
Awww! Charlene looks very natural with the new ones. I bet the kitten food tastes good because it's full of extra nutrients.

ReplyDeleteI KNEW IT! Oh, this is the BEST! Robin, can I be VP? Or...or...Secretary? Heck, I'll even be in charge of the litterboxes. I am SO loving Charlene Butterbean; honestly, much as I adore my kitties, neither one has her nurturing personality (I'm so proud -- I managed to NOT write "purr-sonality"). Can't wait to see what Anne Boleyn thinks!

ReplyDeleteOnce I wrangled the computer from my daughter, the first thing I log into is IBKC and I let out such a laugh that both my kids came to see. That top picture of Charlene and the new kittens is just priceless. I can only imagine what the captions could be for that photo. What an amazing cat she is to adopt and love all the new kitties. Thank you for making my days so bright...

ReplyDeleteOkay, I have truly thousands of kitteh pictures on my hard drive and I have to say that the first picture with the IBK's going "whut is dis??" and Charlene all "ai don kno whut yu ar talkin bout..." is just the epitome of cute!!!!

Charlene looks so completely in charge and composed. The Pettibones are lucky to have her as their teacher. She's a darling.
ReplyDeleteThis is an absolutely stunning series of Charlene Butterbean in action (with the itties, not chowing down on their grub).
ReplyDeleteIn the first, she's sitting very composedly while they're gathered at her feet. They look for all the world like she's going to tell them a story. The only one who's not at attention is Renatta, who is off to one side a bit, gazing into the distance with those blue eyes of hers. One of the buff boys is approaching her with a longing expression in his eyes.
We see just how long Renata's pose of indifference lasts. In the next photo, all the itty bitties are gathered even closer, and she's right there in the crowd, her tail sticking straight up. And the buff boy's request is almost answered, as Charlene is leaning over him a little.
In the next one, he's down and taking a bath for the team. Virgil, with a "my turn next!" air to him, is blocking the view, but we can still see Charlene Butterbean is giving Virgil a good licking. While Virgil is right there in line, his other siblings have withdrawn slightly, either respecting his privacy or not quite sure yet about the concept.
Charlene Butterbean, by the way, has dressed for the occasion, in what looks like a new collar, beige with bright lime green accessories.
Alvie looks quite taken with her as well as Virgil but do I see Carmine being a bit standoffish???
