Two Months Tomorrow

Tomorrow the Picketts will all celebrate their two month birthday. It's fun to look back and see how they have changed. Little roley-poley baby Nadine, has turned into a refined beauty. Although her rounded edges have become pointy, her soft cotton coat remains the same. The once timid Nadine is now brave and independent, but when she's sleepy, she still loves to curl up on a lap in a safe little ball to nap.

  1. How much do they weigh now? I'm guessing it's almost time for the nip and tuck....and then the adoptions...
Still wondering who's going with Beulah. Laurie will tell us in due time.

  2. Nothing cheers and satisfies and delights like peeping at an Itty Bitty, and no calories. (Gee, they're so sweet -- maybe there ARE calories! Oh heck, it's worth it.) And I agree, Anne - also whoever adopts Beulah is going to have themselves a treasure.

  7. She has become a solemn beauty! It looks like just a hint of her pretty pout remains.

And her whiskers! Oh, to be able to rub my face in her fur!

Ear and/or chin rubs for all the Picketts and Miss Butterbean of course!

  9. In the first photo, Nadine is a very dignified and lovely young kitten, sitting posed against a rich bronze fabric that is a wonderful contrast to her very soft dilute greys and browns and white.

She's tilted her head down and her eyes up in that classic mix of demure and seductive.

In the second one, she's a soft little handful of fuzziness, with a slightly bewildered pout, "Why are you pointing that thing at me instead of petting me?" Her eye whiskers and regular whiskers look almost equal in number and directions so there's a very silly and adorable symmetry going on there.
