Small Cat Syndrome

Ruth Anne Pickett

Fierce little Ruth Anne Pickett acts big, because she is so small. If she approaches you like this, slow with intensity, please pretend to be scared. I think it's good for her self-esteem.

  5. Ooooooooh...the POTENTIAL! Can you just imagine the chaos that will ensue if you get caught by that fiercely determined beast? Cats are designed to rend and tear and rip and shred - Ruth-Anne, I have to go whimper in the corner now.....

  8. What makes it especially scary is how she's emerging from a bellies-up kitten puddle with everyone clearly too frightened to stay awake.

  9. Ruth Anne, with only her small face and ENORMOUS ears and right polydactyl paw showing, is emerging from the pile of Lovell fur and looking like a jungle cat. Very predatory and hence, very scary. My Beatrix is built like that and was a minute kitten. She's still got a more Siamese build than her brother even though he's got the blue eyes and flame point coat. RA, you are a force to be reckoned with!

  11. Is it me? Or does every single batch of pictures of any one of the individual Picket pictures include at least one kitten crawling, sitting or otherwise on top of Lovell?

Ruth Ann. Remember. Dynamite comes in small packages!

  14. I am extremely intimidated and have the sudden urge to surrender all the cans of tuna in my pantry.

(I also noticed that a lot of these pictures of IBKs are of siblings on top of a passed-out Lovell. Methinks he is a little wrastlin' feller who plays until he konks out?)

  16. OMG! Does it get any cuter - um - I mean - um - scarier than that? (quaking in my boots)

My tortie "stalks" me all the time, and I admit, I don't always succeed in keeping a straight face... Oh, and it's so hard to resist just scooping her up and planting a great big smooch on her head. Wounded pride not withstanding...

  18. awwww. i mean, aaaaaakkkkkkk!

anyway, i was just at the vet's office. Newton had his bi monthly i got bit by something and need to have my temp taken AND get a shot visit. We were waiting for about 45 minutes because the vet was in helping a mama becoming a mama! After Newton was done and i was getting ready to leave, i was told i could go look at the kittens. i had never seen kittens, literally just born before. i seriously almost cried. when i left, i said, bye, itty bitties, welcome to the world. it made me think of you.

that and the issue of cat fancy that was in the room that i looked at while newton slept and it had charlene butterbean, i mean birman kitties featured.

Wish she could pounce right through the computer into my house. I'd hug her and kiss her and feed her tuna all day long!

  21. Oh, yes, a fierce feline indeed! This photo reminds me of ones in National Geographic where the elusive big cat trips a wire and the camera takes the picture. That's our Ruth Anne, ferocious jungle beast.

And Awen and Darin, I had the exact same thought about little Lovell. He's even acting as a snoozing pillow for sweet Jerry Lee in the photo above the FAQs.

  28. Small cat syndrome? Possibly - but take a look at her ears and paws - she has a lot of growing to do!

Good thing you are not in my neighborhood - I would so quickly adopt this scary (sweet) kitty!!!!!!!!! I love her!

  29. Little Ruth Ann, she's one purposeful kitten, she knows what she's doing, where she's going and you'd all better watch out!
