Up-Side the Head

Mitchell Merriweather

Poor little Mitchell Merriweather. He was just sitting there, minding his own business when all of a sudden "THWACK".

Charlene Butterbean thought he needed a bath, and attempted to pull him in with her paw.

No, he wasn't hurt a bit. His feathers weren't ruffled at all. After it happened, he just sat there.

Then Charlene came closer, rolled him, and gave him a good cleaning. He seemed to love every single second of it.

  3. I was just done laughing at the wonderful cake and then I saw this series. It all makes me feel weak. The action shots of Charlene's heavy motherly hand are terrific. Mitchell the mellow mini man looks a bit dazed, but I feel that way after exposure to photos of the Butterbean and can only imagine what up close and personal would do to me.
Chanter, it's three photos of Mitchell, green eyed,scruffy/fluffy tuxedo kitty. Charlene's paw is making serious contact with the side of his head, flattening one ear, while he looks ahead, a little dopey if you'll pardon me for saying so. Forth photo, he's sitting on the spectacular floral rug, having been spiffed by the pro.

  4. Mitchell, sweetie - If Miss Butterbean says its bath time....BELIEVE her!

You are a sweet, FLOOFY boy!
    Purrs to you!

  6. I'm not quite sure that at any point he knew quite what was going on!

I'm coming to suspect that if I wanted to ask one of the itty bitty kitty committee members to explain the finer points of the latest advances in molecular engineering and how they related to new theories in particle theory, Mitchell might not be the first one I'd pick.

On the other hand, I'd go right to this little guy if I wanted to cuddle a very, very fuzzy little concoction of kittle in a slightly rumpled tuxedo.

  7. Awww... Mitchie is so sweet. Who needs another molecular engineer anyway? I'd so much rather have a purring little kitty boa wrapped around my neck.

  8. ooooohhh Mitchell, being clean and tidy is nice, but your rumpled fluff is soooo adorable! Charlene RULES!

  9. Oh mercy. I think I've had that look on my face before! I know I am not the only one who, when they were little, had a mother that went after them with a tissue and a little spit to clean a dirty face in public. I just know that's the same look! Just sit still and take it is the best advice.

I love the Butterbean. What a woman!

  10. How did you ever manage to take those pictures?? I don't know what's cuter, Charlene's paw or Mitchell's dazed expression.

Those whiskers sticking out of Mitchell's forehead just slay me.

  12. *giggles up a storm*! Aww. Too cute!

And oh my gosh, I love longhair kitties! ... Heck, I love all kitties, but longhair ones are wonderful to snuggle because of all that fluff! And tuxedo cats are just beautiful anyway, superfluffy or otherwise. *cuddles Mitchell the mellow Furbee kitten* Much love and many purrs for you.

Nope, awen, you weren't the only one whose mom was handy with the tissue and spit! Charlene's white sock reminded my of that, too!

  18. I'm not the only one waxing poetic in order to try to describe these heavenly fluffballs, but I confess it is a joy to me to try to show Chanter what I see.
This is one of my favorite places in the world. It is a blessing to come here and be in the company of the IBKC and its broader community.
