Butterbean Birthday Party

We had a little birthday party for Charlene yesterday. I made her a little "cake" using a can of kitten food ( because it tastes better than big cat food), crunchies to trim, and shaved dehydrated chicken snacks on top. She had a few nibbles, then let the kittens finish it off. How nice of her to share!

  1. Happy belated birfday, Butterbean! SO the real-life cartoon cat is now 2. How about that... And just like a good mama, she lets the kitties enjoy the food... Aw, she's so sweet! :)

  3. Awwwwwwwwww! How sweet! What a good kitty foster mom! And you, too, for coming up with the kitty birthday cake idea. My two are coming up to their 15th birthdays this spring...I might just do the same. Thanks for the idea!

  4. How like her to share! And I do hope that my precious Porter* got a nibble too (*not yours, Evy, or, as my children used to say, Not yours! MINES'!).

  8. LOL! What a sweetheart Butterbean! Great idea on the cake, Laurie.

And Anne and Evy, I sense a rumble coming 'cause I'm in love with the Pork Chop, too! Actually I'm smitten with all of the Mayfield Mob, but I do love men with beards!

    :-D

  9. I'm definitely going to use this idea when the torties' birthdays roll around. Usually Sophie gets tuna, but a cake is much cuter!

  11. Honestly? this truly brought tears to my eyes; it makes the heart swell. Alls I can figure is, there must be a warm, glowing love just permeating your home, if the kitties are reflecting it (they do, often, you know -reflect the "vibes" in their homes). Please, may I request a gentle petting and smooch on Charlene for me (and then for the Holsteins?) I agree with K. - and yes, I'll be borrowing the cake idea when my girls' birthdays ("purrthday"...love it) come around too.

  13. That is the cutest thing ever. Two of my three babies are having birthdays next month (1 and 9), and I am going to save this and make that for them!
