We've Got Six Sweeties !!

DSC_2568.JPG
Our wishes were granted and we have six, yes SIX, new itty bitty kitties. We think there are four boys and two girls, but one of them is so teeny tiny, it's hard to tell for sure. I took a whole bunch of pictures of them today, but when reviewing them, I'm not sure I got shots of everyone.

They are kind of hard to tell apart right now. There are four that are darker gray with lighter brown markings and two that are light gray with white stripes. They seem to be about four weeks old right now. Only the tiny one is still on the bottle, the rest are eating soft food.

Boy, they sure are sweet little things. Kim, Sue, and I ooh and ahhed over the babies for several hours this afternoon. We have all been kitten-free for a spell. It was so wonderful to hang with kittens again!

Here's a set of photos from today. Please don't ask me who's who because honestly, I don't know. Formal introductions to follow as their names are selected.

  4. The one with the aqua blankie looks like his tabby "M" is more like a "W".

What do you think that means???

Charlene is either ecstatic or ignoring them....if she is as much a love as she seems in other posts, she is probably corralling the kits like the pro she is!

    Thanks so much for sharing!

  5. Aaaaaaaah! Even if it IS 3:30 am (why am I up, you ask? nevermind) I'm going to make me a cup of tea and enjoy looking at the babies for a while, THEN I'll go to bed. There is a Very Lucky Nest of Kitlings (and a very lucky bunch of avid admirers out here!) THANK YOU, dearling!

  7. Six! That's so funny because when I saw the pictures on your flicker I thought there were three, or maybe even two. It's going to wonderful to get to know them if we can ever tell them apart!

  11. YAY!!! They are all so sweet. I can't wait until they're named and cuddling with Charlene. It's a good thing there are no torties in this batch (otherwise I would be driving to WA)!

  12. Awwwwww... these little faces are SOOOO CUTE!!

Reminds me of my two monsters when I found them at the same age... bundles of mischief!

Can't wait to see more pics and read stories about the new Menaces - has Charlene met them yet?

  13. Do you know their last name yet? Is there a special way that happens or do you just look at them and know? It seems as if it was quite obvious that the Bouviers were, indeed, the Bouviers. That little one at the bottom looks like a "Henry", or Henrietta to me somehow.

  18. Yes! Have been checking almost every day... so of course I missed the day the darlings arrived.

Can't wait for more pics of the babes and sweet Charlene (let dear Drewey sleep!). Thanks so much for your blog... it's a smile every day. And my kit pics are getting better from seeing yours!! LOL! Lookin' forward to watching your babies grow!

I'm hoping we can foster our own batch'o'babes again this summer. In the meantime, I get to foster a relative's 4 mo old, while they relocate. Little Simon arrives on Tuesday, so I'll get a tide-over kitten fix. :-)
