That Was a Special Day!

I'm so happy we met our big match yesterday and were able to bring in over $10,000 for the Special Needs fund.  All of our donations help in so many positive ways, but I love how with the Special Needs fund directly impacts the lives of cats.  Just knowing that what we gave yesterday makes cats in need of special medical attention more comfortable and healthier and ultimately, more adoptable, makes me feel pretty good about what we're doing!

So, nice work Community!  I'm proud of us! I hope you feel the same!  Thank you again to Mary and our Awesome Anonymous Donor who provided the generous matches for us. And thanks to the whole community for choosing  to support us on this special day!

We've got four more days of pushing hard, and then we walk our walk.  We've got a hair over $40,000 left to raise in these four days, which is a lot to do, but if we stay on course and meet all the matches to come, we can get there!

This week, we'll have one day of fundraising devoted to our awesome Barn Cats and Backyard Buddies Program, and one for our low-cost Spay and Neuter Program.  Normally we have a day devoted to our Emergency Pet Food Bank, but this year they received a grant to fund the program, so they don't need our support this year, which is so amazing!

So what else is happening this week?

The prints of Craig's painting of Bean will go up for sale -- probably later tonight.

We've got two more auctions left to start: Tea with Bean and another watercolor painting by Craig. Those will be one day auctions starting today and tomorrow.

Two auctions, the adorable cat hat and beautiful quilt, will be ending on Thursday.

Pepper Pot Polish and Liberté du Monde Gourmet are still supporting the IBKC FUNdraiser by donating a portion of their sales to our fundraiser. You can read more about that HERE and HERE.

AND TODAY,  we've got several matches happening!

First off, the parents of Zoubizou (formerly Zelda Lamm) are offering up a very generous $1500 matching donation challenge for us this morning. So, for every dollar we give, Zoubi and her family will give a dollar, too!

BUT WAIT, there's more! Another generous soul, who would like to remain anonymous, is offering up $1500 as well.  So, if you donate this morning, your match will be met by our anonymous friend, too.

So what I'm saying her folks is for every dollar we give, they will become THREE dollars because of these generous folks!

We're running this match until Noon, Pacific Time,  but I'm guessing it's going to get met fast.  The last time we had two matchers matching, it was a frenzy, and we hit our goal thirty minutes in!

To jump in on these awesome matches, please visit our FUNdraising page and give what is comfortable.

Everything we give does make an impact on a life of a shelter cat or kitten.  Big or small, each donation matters.   Whether you give enough to buy a can or a case of cat food -- whatever the amount, it still feeds a cat, and THAT makes a difference.  So whatever you give, it always helps.

And if you're not in a position to give,  that's absolutely fine.  If you want, you can always help by just sharing a link and spreading the word.

Thank you Zoubi and family, our Anonymous Friend, and the whole IBKC Community!

We will be rolling past $60,000 this morning, if all goes as planned, and I look forward to seeing that happen!  We're getting there, friends! We're getting there!

OK, let's make those phones light up! Are you ready Nicholas?
